Cette belle 3 chambres rénovée est située directement en face d'un nid de pygargue à tête blanche actif sur le côté calme du lac Canadohta. À seulement 300 pieds de la propriété privée au bord du lac avec quai et pavillon et à quelques minutes en voiture du côté animé du lac où vous pourrez profiter de la patinoire à rouleaux Canadohta, du Putt-R-Golf, de la plage gratuite ou du toboggan à l'étang de grenouille. Beaucoup d'endroits pour manger autour de la région, y compris le Fisherman's Tavern, Happy Jax, The Frog Pond ou The Bear Inn. La ville d'Erie est à moins d'une heure où vous pouvez profiter de tous les commerces et les aventures que votre coeur peut désirer. Loved the Blue Jay!

We had a great week at the Blue Jay, The place was clean and spacious. Well equipped kitchen and the table was wonderful not only for meals but for evening game time. We loved the Gazebo and lakeside access.

Cottage Experience

Very clean and well kept property with lots of indoor and outdoor amenities. We were expecting a lakefront on the same property as the house but the access to the lakefront was fine. Enjoyed renting a pontoon and exploring nearby Lake Erie

From the beautiful location to the exceptional customer service, this place is amazing. The cabin is clearly well loved and well cared for - the family's love for the place is clear and shows in all the details. So relaxing, so quiet, and such a great week.

Blue Jay Cottage

Property was well equipped inside and outside. Very nice neighbors. Very nice waterfront dock and pavillion. We had not the best weather (rain) but had a good time with family.

September Getaway

Very much enjoyed our stay at the Blue Jay. Cottage was large and spacious. Loved having two fire pits. Lake access away was great. The mattresses on the beds were amazing. Would like to know the manufacturer. All the guests loved them. Brandan is great to work with. Highly recommend and definitely will go back.

Nice House Near The Lake

We enjoyed our stay at the blue jay for a long weekend. The boat dock was a quick 5 minute drive and our dog loved swimming there every day. We enjoyed making dinner at the house and night caps on the front porch. A great getaway!

Great cabin

This was our second year in the Blue Jay and it was perfect. Very well equipped cabin and the owner is great at getting back to you if you have questions while there. So many new things added this year to. I would highly recomend the Blue Jay.

Wonderful weekend at the Blue Jay Cottage!

This was a great cottage to share a weekend with my family. The kitchen was large and had much of what we needed to make meals. Everything worked great and it was clean, very easy to relax and get comfortable. We loved having the fire pit for evening fun. We look forward to our next visit to the Blue Jay.

Great Place in Quiet Area

I grew up going to Canadohta Lake for the summers when I was growing up back in the 70's and 80's and its been years since I have been back. Its just the way I remembered it. This was a great property with plenty of room to move around. It also has a private area right on the lake to build a fire or get sit around on the chairs to enjoy the view. Plenty of shade to stay out of the sun. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for an awesome stay.

Loved the quiet side of the lake!

We loved this roomy updated cabin! We have been coming to Canadohta Lake for many years always having several generations with us. Everyone enjoyed this cabin and this side of the lake. Having our own lake front area was a first and we really enjoyed it. Loved the comfy beds and having 2 bathrooms. This place has become our new favorite! Can’t wait to return.

Peaceful

This is the first time I've stayed at Blue Jay, on the "quiet side" of the lake, although the lake has been an important part of my family for decades. It provided the meditative, nature-loving solitude that I was looking for to recharge. I booked late, taking the last few days in August, and wish my stay had been longer.

Our Stay at The Blue Jay

The Blue Jay at Lake Canadohta was a great home that will sleep 8 comfortably. Although there was only 2 of us and we ate all our meals out, all the amenities were available so you didn't need to go out at all. Very clean and felt at home right away. Just about everything you need is right along the lake. Either campfires at the house or down by the lake. Highly recommend The Blue Jay.

Quiet and clean cabin!

We traveled to Canadotha Lake to attend a friend’s wedding. We arrived to a clean cabin, with everything ready for us. Communication with the owner was great, he answered quickly each time. Property entry and check out instructions were clearly communicated. We had a great time at the lake and got to explore the western side of Pennsylvania. Beautiful countryside and yummy food at nearby diners. Thanks for a nice place to stay, at a beautiful lake!

Great spacious cottage for family of all ages!

Our family has been coming to canadohta for years; this was our first time on the “quiet side”. We very much enjoyed our stay at the spacious Blue Jay. We enjoy a busy weekend, visiting Erie and Waldameer along with enjoying Canadohta lake and found the large firepit area a great way to relax at the end of a busy day! The neighbors were very nice and we felt quite at home. The cottage was very clean and well stocked. The welcome book recommendations were great. Definitely a great, spacious cottage for families. We look forward to visiting the Blue Jay again.

An enjoyable extended weekend stay.

We enjoyed our stay, especially hanging around the fire pit area. Renting the paddle boards, kayaks and pontoon was a lot of fun. Also, there is an excellent mini golf nearby we enjoyed. We would describe the Blue Jay as more of a cottage than a lake house. It grows on you as you use it and has some positive upgrades. There is not much to do directly around the house as there is limited walking. The lake has very limited public access for hanging out.

Teenager relaxation getaway

My 14 year old daughter and 3 of her pals just had a busy softball season, followed up by volleyball camp. Its hard to get to far away with all of our busy schedules. A few days sitting near the lake and watching the fire was just what they needed. They also took some walks to Happi Jax, the Anchor, and Lincan. We seen some neat wildlife at the damn and on the dock. Highky recommend the Blue Jay

Family fest

We gathered in town to celebrate my mom's 80th BD. She stayed on this same street since she was a child. The property has a great kitchen with everything anyone would need and the gas grill served our purposes very well. The outdoor space cannot be matched at any other lake property. The house has a great flow and since we had a variety of ages there were many options for "hang-out" spots. The neighbors were very welcoming and friendly. Bravo to the Blue Jay....

My sister and I are joint owners of The Blue Jay. We inherited the home in 2011. I currently live in Colorado with my wife, 2 kids, and 2 dogs. My sister lives in Mill Village with her husband, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. We both grew up in The Blue Jay on Canadohta Lake.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our grandfather started going to Canadohta Lake in the 1940's and met our grandmother at the Canadohta Roller Rink. They raised 4 boys and 1 girl and spent their summers camping in the small field adjacent to The Blue Jay. They eventually saved up enough money to buy The Blue Jay. A few years later they began to buy a few small cottages in the area and rent them out by the week. When my grandparents became ill, sadly the small cottages had to be sold off to cover medical expenses. The Blue Jay was the last remaining cottage in the family. In 1998 an addition was built onto The Blue Jay to create a year round home. My sister and I were raised in The Blue Jay the majority of our adolescent lives. In 2011 our father passed and we inherited The Blue Jay, becoming 3rd generation owners. We began to remodel The Blue Jay in 2016 and completed in early June 2018. The Blue Jay was officially open for weekly summer rentals mid June 2018. We are thrilled to carry on our grandparent's legacy and get back into the rental business so families like ours can create lasting memories at Canadohta Lake for years to come.
