Definitely will be back

We had the best time!! We did a Friday and Saturday stay for my boyfriend's birthday and I can't say enough good things! From the moment we pulled in and saw the property We could not wait to get out and explore! Lori was so nice and friendly and explained everything in detail which helped a lot. It was clean and they have pretty much everything you need. The view was amazing. We were able to walk through the Wapsi since it was so low. Did not catch any fish this time maybe better luck next! I can't wait to bring my son here so he can have a blast!

Beautiful

This was our second stay at this cabin. It is a beautiful setting. The accommodations are comfortable, and all eight people had a bed to sleep in—no couch or hide-a-bed necessary!

Fishing trip

We enjoyed the tranquility of the area. We did accomplish what we went for. Fishing. The water could have been a little lower and slower flow for better fishing conditions. But we still caught some nice fish.

Beautiful relaxing cabin on the Wapsi River

We came to Iowa for a celebration of life for my husband’s father. Pulled up to the location and we were both struck by the beauty of this spot where the river bends. We had to stay a couple of extra days to finish up some remodeling and wait out a snowstorm in Iowa and extending our stay was seamless! We highly recommend the Ritz on the River!

Perfect getaway

So glad we found this property to stay at for our family vacation. The scenery was beautiful - it was so lovely being right on the river and the cabin is very secluded and private so it was very peaceful and quiet. The cabin itself is very comfortable with great amenities, plenty of space for all of us, and the cable/satellite was a bonus so we could still watch football games over the weekend! The fire pit was really nice and big and we were able to enjoy sitting around it every day. We are so happy we discovered this property, my family had the BEST time and we plan to make this a yearly family trip!

Wonderful place to meet friends. Private spot on the river! Quick drive to hiking, caves, and wineries. Decor in line with “hunting cabin.” Bring extra drinking water if you’re not used to high mineral well water.

Our stay was good....only complaint wld be the a/c was broke the day we got there and it was very hot sleeping the first night esp in the loft....someone came the next day to fix it so the 2nd night was better.

Secluded and Quiet

The cabin is in a very remote area, just as we had hoped. We loved the peace and quiet of the area. So cool to drive between corn fields to the property. The cabin was neat, clean and was stocked very well. We purchased river rafts and took advantage of an hour and 20 minute float from the cabin to Allen’s Grove.

Relaxing, wonderful river getaway

This was our second time here and another wonderful experience. Quiet, relaxing area with great trails through the woods, plenty of space to roam around, and a very comfortable and clean cabin. Looking forward to a third trip!

Exactly what we hoped for!

Very private place to unplug and unwind. We stayed at the cabin the first week of August 2022 it was very clean and felt like home. Our kids were happy to have internet access and Dish Network. We loved all the trails, the pond out back and we also had fun fishing the river. It was nice to be able to bring our dogs, they had a great time too! We definitely will stay again

A Fabulous Stay

This was a beautiful, well-maintained property that was JUST AS ADVERTISED! It was secluded and peaceful, right along the river. We parked our canoe and kayaks on the sandbar just below the bank for the entire week, so we could access them anytime we wanted. Fishing was great, and Joe was helpful with knowledge and advice about the good spots. He even encouraged us to catch bait in the small pond on the property. There were trails to hike, bags and ladder ball games, and very nice facilities inside the cabin. It was nearly as comfortable as being home, but more peaceful and right on the river! Even the golden retrievers got to stay with us, and loved the river life. We are hoping to make this an annual tradition!

The weather didn't cooperate, but still we had a great time. Amazing nature, enchanted place, extremely comfortable. Everything awesome. The only but is the water. It has a lot of iron and it would be good to get that cleaned.
