This is def a no-frills stay. The bed linens are not great and all of the towels are child size. The cooking utensils, specific pots and pans are horrible (I had to go buy a pan to cook in, and left it). The pillows on the couch are GROSS and so is the rug in the living room. Everything has a damp feel because the windows cannot be opened and they don't leave AC on for ventilation/dehumidifation. The location is great and is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The kitchen is a great size just poorly equipped. Having a laundry in the unit is a huge bonus.

I have never given a poor review. Only positive reviews but this stay required a review which unfortunately is negative. Vacasa was horrible to deal with. 11 repeated responses to an issue that wasn’t resolved our entire stay. Vacasa actually told us they were only a messenger service and the property manager would address the issue. Vacasa stated, 11 times, they had placed an emergency note on our issue and the manager would take care of it immediately. Never happened. What was guaranteed in our rental agreement never happened. Will never stay at another property that Vacasa has anything to do with.

Well maintained property. Clean with new appliances. Suitably stocked. Everything functioned as advertised. Convenient location, just steps from the Stowe downtown. The market across the parking lot was very convenient.

Wonderful location

The location of this apartment is absolutely perfect. My kids and I loved being able to wake up and take a short walk down main street to a café for some coffee and a bite to eat. The apartment really is so close to everything you need! My only issues were the comforter in the main bedroom was very clearly dirty(we washed it with the detergent they provided) and the fact the refrigerator was broken and replaced with a mini fridge and nobody communicated that to us until we arrived and went to use the fridge. 5 people using a mini fridge was a bit of an inconvenience but they did offer to relocate us which we declined due to this location being what we wanted. Other than those two things, we enjoyed the home and the town!

Rough stay in Stowe

The entry way that was described as a “balcony” was filthy and definitely not meant for spending time in. The fridge was VERY broken - like actually hot inside. It took 5 calls to Vacasa, a personal call with the local property manager and 2 days to find out they couldn’t fix it and they dropped off a mini fridge. There was no dish soap, barely any cooking utensils and no replacement trash bags, along with no laundry detergent. I expect to bring some items with us when we stay at a rental but this was another level. The bed and couch were comfy but the linens were threadbare and throw pillows falling apart at the seams. The upstairs rooms have a hall AC unit that worked very well but there was no air flow in the actual rooms and we were instructed not to open the windows so we slept with the doors open.The only draw is the location. It’s next door to a very well stocked market, a 5-10 min walk from coffee shops, restaurants, and bakeries. It’s 5 min drive from the Alchemist Brewery and 10 min from Ben & Jerry’s. It’s highly unlikely we would stay here again. The local property manager did go out of her way to respond to me and we were very appreciative. But this one just did not stack up for cost we ended up paying for 5 nights.

Clean, convenient location

Centrally located in Stowe - easy to walk to places, and the grocery store next to this unit was a big plus. The unit was clean and self-contained. It had everything needed (although I don’t think there was an ironing board, but there was an iron)The unit has some things that could use improving - There was a big sign near one of the windows which said “Do not open windows” If this was due to a lack of screens, it should be easy to add a screen. We wanted to get some air when first arriving so it was odd that we couldn’t open those windows.The bunkbed In the small bedroom upstairs is configured incorrectly. The ladder and opening is facing against a closet and arch of the ceiling. There is literally only a 5 inch space to get from the top of the ladder onto the bed. Not even a small child could use this ladder. The whole bunkbed should be turned around so that the ladder and opening is on the other side.For the listing itself - it would be helpful to add a little direction in finding the unit. The parking lot numbering doesn’t follow any rhyme or reason patterns. We finally found ours between “F4” and “F5”. It would also be helpful to state that the unit is in the same building and upstairs from the hair salon.

Charming Stowe Condo

My family and I had a great stay at this charming condo. The location was convenient right in the center of Stowe and next to the market. So close to amazing restaurants and Stowe resort. The place was clean and a perfect size for our short trip. Would highly recommend and love to stay again!

Stowe Village gem!

This village condo was just perfect for our family for a 4 day ski getaway. Location is amazing - we loved going to fondue just 3 doors down, Harrison’s and the Whip (1 block away) and all the adorable downtown Stowe shops (all within 3 blocks!). Was super convenient to be across from the Village market, we did breakfasts in the condo before skiing and if anyone wanted a snack, they could just walk across the parking lot. Last but certainly not least, the shower was very hot and had good pressure - key after a ski day!! We loved our time here and would def stay again.

A little tricky finding the correct unit but once found the location was epic! Walking distance to everything downtown. Plenty of space for multiple people. One queen, bunk beds and a large couch to spread out.

Bad time

When we first shown up, there was a big mess all over the table. Paint rugs you put down so it don't drip over the floor, boxes torn up scattered across the table, key lock sitting out not installed, and so on. I called and they came out to clean it after we left to visit the town. When we got back, the thermostat was not working or was the hot water. It took 2 days for the hot water to get fixed and the 2 days without heat was because by that time, they told me to use the remotes and not the thermostat. How would I know when they never left any remotes out? They were hidden in a closet under dog treats and a blanket. They even offered a refund for inconvenience, but it's been about a month and gotten less than half of what they told me they would give. I have my bank involved now, but from them trying to relocate me because of the hot water, and that was a headache that didn't work, I wasted more time talking to them and relocating, rather than enjoy my stay. Not a fun time. I bet the company who owns this and the other property where they sent me to where I couldn't get in wouldn't enjoy what I went through, so why did I go through it? Talked to so many different people who said they would call back and never heard from them until I called the next day.

Great except for heating

I stayed here for a long weekend and the location and space is great. It's right in Stowe so really convenient for exploring and easy parking. Our issue was that the heat was not on when we entered the property and neither of the thermostats worked. There were no instructions on how to get it working and we were not helped by support until the next morning (it was 30 degrees over night). I recommend to the owners to turn the heat on before guests arrive during cold weather, and to leave clear instructions to ignore the broken thermostats and use the mini splits up on the walls.

Nightmare Vacasa/VRBO Stowe, Vermont (owner Greg wouldn’t even speak to us)

Reserved and paid in full in January. Received multiple emails excited for upcoming stay. Received access code day of. Went to check in at 430pm someone was in there and code did not work. Cleaning person just got there said no one was staying. Told us to come back in an hour. We did couldn’t use access code. On phone for two hours with relocation and two dogs in car. Found own hotel room. Very busy time in Stowe. Very disappointed in all aspects. I wouldn’t stay here as not sure you’ll ever get in. 12 hours of driving with our two pups and we get an apology. Not planning to use this service again. Proceed cautiously.

Very bad experience with vacasa

We booked a different place in Stowe . A day before our arrival we got a message that the property will not be available due to maintenance issue. After talking with the team we were re located to the harvest farmhouse. Few hours before our arrival an email was sent to me informing me that this place is not available. Since it was after we checked in we contacted vacasa to understand what to do. The answer was that the owner need the place. As it was late night we stayed the night in this low maintained appartment i, in the morning we understood from vacant team, after calling them again that due to fire marshal order the property is red flagged which mean we stayed over the night in a risky place. On the next day we were moved again to new appartment where we stayed our second night

We stayed, even without hot water

There are a lot of good things about our stay. We loved being able to walk through Stowe at all hours. We loved the convenience of having a market right next door. And I was able to get a haircut right downstairs. The rec path was close and delightful to walk on. But we had no hot water--none--for the entire stay. Before arriving we were told the hot water heater needed a part that wouldn't be available for 3 days. We were even offered another rental to use instead, but it wasn't right downtown like this one so we chose to just not shower for 3 days. You can guess the rest--the water heater didn't manage to get repaired and we had to take pans of boiled water with us when we showered. It was disappointing. But still, the condo was convenient and dog-friendly and we'd definitely stay there again.

Great location in downtown Stowe

Great condo that was exceptionally clean and had all amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Location was perfect for quick access to the mountain and walkable to downtown and bike trail. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Stowe!!
