Tegfan – Fairytale Cottage on Dedham High Street

A beautiful Tudor cottage on the quiet end of Dedham High Street, our home from home is sure to be the quiet, relaxed break you need!

With two comfortable bedrooms - one queen-sized double (sleeps 2), one single (sleeps 1) - a spacious living room downstairs, upstairs snug with small double sofa bed (sleeps 1 comfortably), a galley kitchen with all the amenities you'll need, dining room next to the kitchen and full bathroom with deep bath & rain shower, it is the perfect space for couples, friends or families to enjoy a getaway in the countryside.

The property boasts all the features you'd expect of a Tudor building, from exposed beams to slightly wonky floors - making it full of character and a typical Dedham village historical building.

The small double sofabed in our upstairs living room can be made up on request to accommodate a fourth guest. In order to streamline this request, when booking for 3 guests requiring the sofabed to provide 3 individual beds, then please select 4 guests when booking. Please note that the sofabed is in our upstairs living room which is between the master bedroom and main bathroom.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Our master bedroom has a queen-sized bed which we assume 2 guests will share when calculating the rates. Our second bedroom has a single bed for 1 guest. We also have a small double sofa bed available on request - use of this needs to be agreed prior to your stay. Please note that the dimensions of the sofa bed are H25 x W190 x L105 cm and while it was sold to us as a 2 person double bed, previous guests have commented that it is more suitable for sleeping 1 person comfortably. Please also note that the sofa bed is in the upstairs living room which is between the master bedroom and the main bathroom. This means guests sleeping there may be disturbed by guests sleeping in the master bedroom going to the bathroom in the night.

Guests will have full, private access of the entire property.

Guests will be fully self-sufficient with a contact number for our property manager should they require any assistance.

We have a strict no smoking or vaping and no parties or events policy. Please read our house rules to familiarise yourself with them before booking.

This is a self catering cottage so it is the guests’ responsibility to dispose of waste and recycling as best they can and to ensure all dishes used are clean upon checkout - turning the dishwasher on is sufficient.

One reserved parking space may also be available, subject to availability - advanced booking required, in private courtyard 2 minutes walk away. Otherwise, there is free parking for two hours on the High Street, monitored between 8am-6pm daily, or additional vehicles can pay to park at the public car park on Mill Lane - check signage or MiPermit mobile app for current costs.
