Gallery: the traditional glazed gallery runs along the front of the house, with sofas, a dining table and a desk for working with views over the valley.

The Neighborhood:

Fresnedo is a small mountain village in the council of Teverga, at the gates of Somiedo Natural Park: brown bears, glacial lakes and the Saliencia trails are 30-40 minutes by car. The house sits in total silence, with walks starting from the door. Teverga (San Martín) with supermarket, pharmacy, cider houses and the Senda del Oso bike trail is 15 minutes by car; the Prehistoric Park of Teverga and the Cueva Huerta are 20 minutes. Oviedo is about 50 minutes and the coast (Gijón, Salinas) about 1 h 15.



Getting Around:

A car is essential: the village has no public transport worth relying on. There is a garage for one car and room to park next to the house.

- Somiedo lakes (Saliencia): 40 min.

- Oviedo: 50 min.

- Asturias Airport (OVD): about 1 h.



In winter the mountain roads can have snow; check the forecast and bring chains if needed.
