Grab your backpack and mountain bike and venture off into your beautiful surroundings to follow picturesque footpaths, or hike 1 mile up to Bromlow Callow to take in the panoramic views. The undulating landscape to the Bronze Age stone circle of Mitchell’s Fold (3.5 miles) is set in dramatic moorland on Stapeley Hill and is worth exploring. Alternatively, strike out to the wild surroundings of the quartzite ridge of the Stiperstones, 5 miles away. For a bit of retail therapy, head into the market town of Shrewsbury (15 miles) to stock up on local produce, dine out and visit the red sandstone castle.


Take two steps up into the timber-clad barn to find bright, airy, studio-style accommodation with a clean, minimalist interior design. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom is laid out to ensure ample space and an easy flow between the different sections. From the front door, find the wet room, where you can enjoy a hot shower whenever you choose. To the right, your kitchen space is set out to ensure you can cater for the two of you with ease, and the dining table is positioned conveniently close by. Settle on the comfortable double bed or the seating to watch the Smart TV together, sliding the patio door open on warm days to bring in the cool air. The bedroom area features ample hanging space as well as bedside cabinets.


Carry your freshly made morning coffee out onto the private terrace. Gaze out towards the Stiperstones in the distance as you enjoy summer breakfasts, lunches and dinners out here too. Take your canine companion out into the shared large, enclosed, lawned space and throw a ball for him. There are also fire pits here to toast by under the clear night sky.
