Set in an enviable riverside position, this striking Victorian townhouse offers a truly special stay in the heart of Llangollen. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear this is a property with presence. Elegant, spacious and perfectly placed for enjoying everything that makes this vibrant Welsh town so appealing.
Step outside and you’re moments from the River Dee, where you can watch kayakers and white-water rafters glide past, or head out on scenic riverside walks straight from the door. A short stroll brings you into the centre of Llangollen with its excellent independent cafés, shops, pubs and restaurants, all within half a mile. For iconic views, climb to the hilltop ruins of Castell Dinas Brân, while gentler, dog-friendly walks can be found along the Llangollen Canal and the UNESCO-listed Horseshoe Falls. The famous Llangollen Heritage Railway runs nearby too, a delight for all ages and a unique sight to enjoy from the comfort of the house itself. Within easy reach are Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Chirk Castle (National Trust), Llandegla Forest with OnePlanet Adventure, and breathtaking viewpoints at Horseshoe Pass and the Ponderosa, with Oswestry and Wrexham also close by.

The ground floor features a sleek, fully equipped modern kitchen with high-end appliances and a breakfast bar, flowing into a spacious dining room that’s perfect for relaxed, sociable meals. A stylish shower room with walk-in shower adds convenience, while the utility area opens directly onto the enclosed courtyard, ideal for muddy boots, wet coats and rinsing off dogs after riverside adventures.
The first floor is the true heart of the home and a real highlight. Here you’ll find a stunning family bathroom with a walk-in shower and a gorgeous freestanding Victorian-style bath, perfect for long soaks after a day exploring. The elegant bedroom on this level features an emperor-size sleigh bed and peaceful canal views, while the bright and inviting living room steals the show with its panoramic outlook over the river and railway, a wonderful space to relax and watch the world go by, from passing steam trains to river activity below.
On the second floor are two beautifully finished king-size bedrooms, one with its own en-suite shower room, along with an additional contemporary shower room. The top floor completes the accommodation with a further king-size bedroom and a twin room, both with Velux skylights that flood the space with natural light. A small office area provides a handy spot for remote working or planning your next day out.
Outside, the enclosed courtyard garden offers a private, secure space for children and dogs, whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning coffee, breakfast in the fresh air, or simply unwinding at the end of the day.
