The Neighborhood:
Cloughmills is a quaint village in Northern Ireland that rests between Ballymoney and Ballymena. The village is known for its industrial heritage as it was once the site of an old linen mill that was fed by the Cloughwater river, which flowed through the southern end of the village. The village is home to Patton’s Bar and Millside Restaurant that provides a variety of British dishes, a perfect spot for the evenings that you don’t fancy cooking! The town of Ballymena is just a short drive away and is a famous shopping hub in Northern Ireland, home to Fairhill Shopping Centre which boasts a plethora of high street names; there really is something for everyone. You can also immerse yourself in the local history at Harryville Motte and Bailey and the breath-taking Galgorm Castle. Ballymoney is also nearby, you can visit the Ballymoney Museum and then enjoy a delicious meal at the popular Holestone bar and restaurant, or venture further afield to the vibrant capital of Belfast which is bursting at the seams with history; there is the Titanic Museum, Crumlin Road Gaol and the W5 science museum which has climbing, robot attractions and a variety of temporary exhibits. Belfast also has a myriad of bars and restaurants to choose from.
