We had a fantastic time. Gillian was a lovely host. The accommodation was beautiful with amazing views. Great place to stay when exploring the Antrim Glens. Thank you Gillian.
We were so looking forward to staying here due to its location overlooking the sea and Mull of Kintyre. When we arrived the house felt cold and unwelcoming. We had booked for several nights but had to leave within a few hours due to the black mould on the bedroom walls. Had to cut short holiday due to husband becoming ill with chest infection as a result.
Itâs an old property, a basement unit (basically) even though it opens at level. It is built into a hill, and there were bugs on the walls and floor, earwigs and centipedes both on the floor and walls. Gillian provided milk for us, which was appreciated. The bedding was clean, the dishes and kitchen were clean. Itâs right on the highway, which we knew, but getting in and out of the parking area was a bit challenging. All that to say, because of the bugs, we wont return.
We had a great coast road experience here, not recommended for small children as the property is right beside the the coast road. Beautiful view of the mull of Kintyre and Torr head.
Everything was just perfect. Our host Gillian was brilliant, the accommodation was bigger than the photos, spotlessly clean with everything you need for a really relaxing and comfortable stay. Great location by the sea and wonderful vista. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
This was a nice one bedroom apartment just outside Carnlough on the North Antrim Coast highway. Beautiful view over the North Irish Sea towards Scotland and you can see Mull of Kintyre right from your lounge window.
We used the cottage as a base for our motorbike tour of Northern Ireland. Excellent roads to all the tourist attractions. The views from the cottage were stunning with a fantastic sunset one night. The food welcome pack was very handy, there are some small local shops around with quite a good range of food, but after a full day riding it was nice to settle in with a brew. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone considering staying in this lovely area of the island
We spent 4 days visiting Ireland and thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather stayed dry all week and the view out of the Coach House window is unmatchable. The apartment has everything you can need and although it's right on the main Causeway Coastal Road, traffic noise isn't a problem.
Compact apartment ideally situated for visiting the Antrim Coast
This compact property is a well appointed conversion of an old building. It is ideally located for visiting the Glens of the Antrim Coast and the Causeway Coast is within reach. It has the disadvantage of being sited directly on the A2 coastal scenic road but double glazing and thick walls reduce traffic noise to acceptable levels. It overlooks the sea and the Scottish coast is easily visible on clear days. Being on the ground floor the most annoying feature was that occupants of the apartment above could be heard moving about. The apartment was comfortable, clean and fresh and a basic welcome pack was provided. We had a very enjoyable week and would recommend it to friends for shorter stays.
Lovely place. Feel really relaxed.had a coal fire and we were able to take our dog.
Lovely place all essentials catered for.got a lovely welcome package of milk. Bread butter and eggs.really handy for exploring north coast. Lovely host.
After spending 20 years in London, I decided to return to Northern Ireland in 2004 and settled on the Antrim Coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty and rugged coastline. Purchasing The Coach House, which was already converted into three self contained units I knew this would be a good opportunity to start the self catering business and since then The Coach House Self Catering Apartments have been operating successfully since 2007. I lives in one of the apartments, therefore am normally on site to help if necessary.
The Coach House is an historic building and was originally the stopping point for the horse drawn coaches along The Antrim Coast. Housing three separate apartments, of which two are self catering units, The Loft Apartment and The Stables Apartment. Surrounded by numerous historic landmarks and Game of Thrones had a heavy presence at Garron Point during filming of the series. Again for Game of Thrones fans various filming locations are either within walking distance or a short drive away. This area is one of Antrim Coast and Glens Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the breathtaking views and uninterrupted sea views stretching over to The Mull of Kintyre in Scotland from the accommodation are spectacular. Located halfway between Carnlough and Glenariff (The Queen of the Glens). A perfect base to discover the unspoilt coastline, towns and villages, history and heritage, top visitor attractions and places of interest, The Giants Causeway just an hours drive away and of course numerous iconic Game Of Thrones film locations. With panoramic sea views over The Irish Sea to The Mull of Kintyre in Scotland.
