The Space:

Penny Lodge is a modern and inviting two-bedroom, two-bathroom countryside retreat. . Perfect for families, couples, or friends, the lodge combines contemporary comfort with a tranquil rural setting, providing an ideal base for relaxing getaways or exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Inside, the open-plan living and dining area is bright and welcoming, featuring a cosy sofa, a dining space for meals or games, and large windows framing views of the lake and countryside. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances and everything you need for preparing breakfasts, snacks, or dinner at home.

The lodge offers two stylish bedrooms, designed for comfort and restful nights, alongside two modern bathrooms complete with showers, baths, and fresh towels. Outdoor space includes a private terrace or patio, perfect for enjoying the scenery or unwinding with a morning coffee.

Additional amenities include on-site parking and a quiet, rural location while remaining within easy reach of Malton’s shops, restaurants, and local attractions. Guest Access:

Guests will have access to their lodge from 4pm on the day of arrival.



Access Details will be provided prior to checking in at the property.



Please note that there is one parking space to the side of each lodge, this is to be used by one vehicle only. All other vehicles can drive to the lodge to drop-off luggage but must park their car in the main car park for the duration of their stay. There is strictly no parking on the grass at any times.

Nestled in the peaceful village of Amotherby, this property offers a charming countryside escape just a few minutes’ drive from historic Malton. Enjoy scenic walks along quiet lanes, local pubs, and easy access to nearby villages. By car, you’re well-connected to Malton, Helmsley, and the A64 for exploring North Yorkshire. For public transport, local buses link to Malton, where you can catch trains to York, Scarborough, and beyond, making it easy to explore the region without a car.



Getting Around:

Amotherby is a small rural village, so getting around is easiest with a mix of car travel and local transport: Travelling by car will be the most convenient option for your stay, allowing easy access to nearby towns such as Malton (around 5 minutes away), Pickering, Helmsley and the North York Moors. Bus services run between Amotherby and Malton, where you can connect to wider routes across North Yorkshire. Malton also has a train station with regular services to York, Scarborough and Leeds. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking and cycling, with scenic lanes and footpaths linking nearby villages. This is a great way to explore locally, though distances can be longer between amenities. Local taxi services operate from Malton, Pickering and surrounding villages. Taxi's are an option for evenings out or for those who travel without a car.
