Agrilis Cottage near the beach!

Amongst orchards and groves, flowers and herbs, on a large estate just a few minutes from the beach, this summer house in Messinia Peloponnese, is just a few kilometres away from Kyparissia town.
Our cottage is located in a large estate in Messinia, Peloponnese.
It is a few kilometres away from beautiful Kyparissia with its lovely castle, Filiatra town with one of the best sweet shops and Stomio beach (… among many other beaches! An amazing one is Lagouvardos, ideal for Surf lovers!))
If you choose to stay in this natural escape, you will enjoy peace and full immersion in nature.
Relax in our comfortable sofas in our bright living room and in the cooler months light the fire and relish the warmth of the fireplace.
Plenty of comfortable bedding to accommodate small or large groups! Double beds in the two air conditioned bedrooms (can also be set up as singles) plus large, comfortable sofas and sofa beds in the living room. The house can easily sleep up to 8 guests on demand.
This is a fully equipped house and you can enjoy your meals inside or outside under the trees! There is one bathroom, but we also have an outside shower, which is perfect for the hot summer days!
Depending on the time of the day choose the coolest of the two verandas to enjoy your meals or drinks.
Nature awakens all your senses and makes you feel beautiful and calm. This is what summer is about, right?

The Location
The picturesque port of Agrilis is only 500 metres away from our house. It is still a fishing port and if you are there early you might meet the fishermen as they come into the port and buy some fresh fish!
Enjoy the tranquillity of Agrilis port; eat at the taverna listening to the sound of the sea or enjoy a meze or a coffee at the coffee bar. And if the sea is rough in the nearby beaches enjoy a swim at Agrilis port!

Within 2,5 to 3 km you will find AB Vassilopoulos supermarket for all your groceries and other supplies.

Tips on what to do!
The nearest beach is called Stomio and it is 5 minutes by car and 20 on foot. This is a beautiful, pebbly beach where you can enjoy a great sunset!

Other nearby beaches accessible by car is Kyparissia beach at 7km where you can enjoy local delicacies afterwards, and Kalo Nero where if you are lucky you might see the protected Caretta Caretta turtles give birth.

In Kyparissia enjoy a walk in the old castle and the sunset from the hill. Stop at the old mill for a coffee or a meze. This is one of the best preserved watermills in Greece! For lunch you will love the aura at Palia Agora restaurant in the old town.

Other beaches are Laguvardos, which is also very good for surfing. About 20 minutes from our location. And after Laguvardos beach you will find Chrisi Akti (Golden beach) a very long beach with of course crystal, clear waters.

Near Chrisi Akti you may visit the city of Pylos renown also for it’s antiquities.
Other nearby beautiful cities are Methoni, with a castle going into the sea, Koroni and Yalova lake.

Also Marathoupoli famous for its fresh fish at Argyris restaurant and again for its beaches! The Neda falls and the ancient city of Messini. At Marathoupoli you can also enjoy your meal by the sea at Panorama tavern.
Ohter villlages you can visit and enjoy the food are Spilia village at 3km and Chalazoni village at 2km.

A rich area to explore to cater for all tastes either for relaxation, for walking, surfing, swimming, eating and the list is endless … !
