No smoking.. One of four almost identical lodges here at Heatheryhaugh which have proven to be a hidden treasure to the owner’s family since the early 1980’s. They’ve been updated and upgraded a few times since then and provide the ideal home away from home for families, friends. those traveling for work or even those enjoying a group break perhaps looking to book more than one property.

All the lodges here at Heatheryhaugh have three bedrooms which sleep two comfortable in each. One of the bedrooms; the main principal room has the the luxury of providing an en-suite shower room in addition to the twin beds, while the other two bedroms are a twin and a double which share the main bathroom. The bathroom does have an over bath shower so on those busy days you’re rushing to get out the door you’ll not have to queue all morning waiting. The living space is open plan and is fantastic for enjoying an evening in together or even an afternoon if the good old Scottish weather takes a turn for the worse. On Sundays, the town of Moffat has more than you might think given its traditional sleepy village impression. There are events all year round for the family and there are pubs and restaurants in town just minutes away so you can enjoy a night out where you’ll undoubtedly be welcomed by the locals.

One of the fine things about the actual location of Moffat is the little time it takes to get to both Scotlands major cities. Both Glasgow and Edinburgh are just over an hour away by car and both provide excellent days out. Head over the Lowlands, through Dumfies and Galloway and enjoy some of the history and the world-famous scenery. A little further and the western coast has some of the most dramatic coastline and beaches in the UK.
