Welcome aboard The Old Station, a first-class experience where railway heritage meets modern sustainable elegance. Originally built in 1884 and serving passengers for 80 years, this former station house has been carefully and thoughtfully converted into luxury accomodation while preserving its Victorian identity. From the moment you arrive, the original cream station facade, traditional signage and carriage-style corridor set the scene. Step through the door into a sleeper-train-inspired corridor reminiscent of a railway sleeper car guiding you past all rooms, each uniquely designed with inspiration of the Victorian era colour schemes with modern luxurious style.
Waiting Lounge, Dining & Galley Kitchen:
Once a bustling passenger lounge and station office, this open-plan area now blends history with function. The kitchen stands where the old ticket hatch was once fixed, now relocated and preserved in Bedroom 3. The former waiting room has become a cost living area complete with smart TV, cosy sofas, and a striking wood-burning fireplace, perfect for relaxing evenings. The fully equipped modern kitchen and elegant dining area provide ample space for group meals, social gatherings or casual breakfasts.
Bedroom 1 - Stationmaster's Suite
Originally added just before the turn of the century, this elegant king room once served as a station office. Now transformed into a luxurious king-sized bedroom, adorned with vaulted ceilings, sophisticated décor, plush cushions, and a stylish workspace. The striking ensuite features bold orange accents, a contemporary shower, and modern vanity, illuminating the Victorian charm.

The property is pretty close to Cambridge but has the advantage of being quiet & rural. It is worth bringing some provisions with you so you donât need to shop but there are supermarkets within 15-20 minutes journey. We have a wood burning stove and can supply wood for a small fee, either a starter pack or enough for your whole stay. Let us know if you would like this option.
