The Owlet is warm, welcoming & super sustainable & has been lovingly furnished to create a koselig vibe. Explore the local National Trust, enjoy long walks on Exmoor & delicious cream teas in Dulverton. Four legged friends are very welcome & there's also a carp fishery.

The Owlet is a cute & cosy bolthole perfect for guests looking for a stay in beautiful Devon countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It is set down a quiet country lane where there's more horses than cars and is surrounded by trees, fields, wildlife & birds of prey soaring overhead. Once upon a time this was a fishing lodge and it has been mindfully converted with reclaimed materials, local art & vintage crockery.

There is a lovely and spacious bedroom which has plenty of room for a dog bed or travel cot, a newly decorated living area and a kitchen with all the essentials you need to cook. The bathroom has a walk in shower and we provide Faith in Nature toiletries.

The secluded garden (which you can see from the bedroom window) is a lovely space to relax in, enjoy toasting marshmallows over the fire pit, bbqs with our delicious lamb burgers and bluebells in the Spring. The garden also has a patio area just by the front door so it's the perfect place for the Canadian Spa Grand Rapids hot tub - and the ideal spot for star gazing.

Whilst The Owlet is a little bit off the beaten track, Exmoor and Tiverton are 20 minutes away and nearby Bampton has lots of lovely independent shops and cafes. It's the perfect base for exploring the local areas but not ideal if you're looking for lots of nightlife or anything within walking distance. The lanes are single track for 2 miles and Ubers and taxis have not reached the area so be prepared to always hop in the car.

Your four legged friend is very welcome and the garden is fully fenced. There are one or two good walks from the property and loads of amazing spots within 30 minutes like Haddon Hill, Dunkerry Beacon and Tarr Steps. If you are a walking enthusiast the Two Moors Way and Exe Valley Way are a short drive away.

The Owlet is part of Bellbrook Farm and we're proud to be a regenerative and sustainable holiday destination. The Owlet is heated using a biomass boiler and the power is 100% renewable. All the products we provide are eco friendly and there's no single use plastic - everything is refilled. We sell our slow grown, outdoor reared produce to guests and the hogget sausages are just delicious!We also have a beautiful specimen carp lake just a short stroll away and tickets start at £10.

The boring bits...

The is only parking for one car (no vans) and then it is a short walk of 15m to the front gate (or you can walk through the garden and down a few steps but this can get slippery in the winter)

The Owlet is attached to our family home so like any semi detached property you may see & hear us about and about - however we are super respectful of your privacy and your garden is very secluded

During the week our builder is completing our Grand Designs project nearby. You may hear our very small team beavering away so the Mon - Thursday price is discounted to reflect this
