Stretch out on the sofa and turn on the TV for home-style entertainment with the door open for a breath of fresh air or – in cooler times – light the wood burner to toast your toes. The farmhouse-style kitchen has everything you’ll need for simple self-catering. Sit out on your private balcony, fire up the BBQ and enjoy al fresco refreshments along with far-reaching views over the Preseli Hills. There is private parking for two cars, so you can enjoy countryside walks direct from your cottage door. Venture further afield with a drive 14 miles north, passing the Preseli Hills, to historic Cardigan – gateway to the Teifi Valley and the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coastal paths. A similar distance south, Laugharne – the home of poet Dylan Thomas – sits on the estuary where the River Taf flows into Carmarthen Bay. Follow the Pembrokeshire coast west from here and Pendine has a 7-mile stretch of glorious sand, while the golden beaches of Tenby and Saundersfoot are within 22 miles of your holiday home.
