Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a few days of rest in this charming rural house located in Atalaya del Alberche, just 1 hour from Madrid. Surrounded by nature and tranquillity, this 80 m² property has been designed to offer comfort and well-being for families and groups of up to 8 people.

The accommodation features three bright, well-equipped bedrooms:
– The first with two single beds and an additional pull-out single bed,
– The second with one double bed, one single bunk bed, and another pull-out single bed,
– The third with a Queen-size bed.
All include sufficient bed linen appropriate to the season — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring or fun.

The house features two full bathrooms, each equipped with a shower or bathtub, towels, and essential toiletries, as well as an additional outdoor toilet. Please note the bathrooms are all shared bathrooms.

At the heart of the home is a cozy living room with a fireplace, a TV, a large sofa for family relaxation, and a dining table for eight — ideal for sharing meals and conversations by the fire, especially during winter. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare your favourite dishes during your stay.

Outside, you’ll find a spacious patio with garden areas and a large terrace overlooking the Alberche poplar grove and the Sierra de San Vicente. The back patio includes a charming wooden porch with a barbecue and wood-fired oven for outdoor meals, as well as a private fenced pool — perfect for a peaceful summer swim. Children can have fun in the play area while adults relax in the lounge area, enjoying the serenity of the surroundings and beautiful sunsets.

Whether you are with your family, partner, or friends, this house strikes a balance between the rural environment and the charm of nearby cities.

Located at the entrance of the peaceful residential area Atalaya del Alberche in Cardiel de los Montes (Toledo), Los Jilgueros del Alberche is the perfect destination to unwind, relax, and enjoy nature.
Its surroundings offer several marked trails ideal for walking or cycling, as well as the opportunity to visit the village of Cardiel de los Montes, where you can have a drink at the bars in the Church Square. The church itself, in Gothic style, is of great historical and architectural interest. You can also take a stroll across its emblematic three-arched bridge.

Just one hour from Madrid, the house is very close to the banks of the Alberche River and only a few meters from the Saucedoso Stream. Its privileged location, near the Sierra de San Vicente and the province of Ávila, allows easy access to charming places such as La Adrada and other villages in the Tiétar Valley, south of the Sierra de Gredos.

In the neighboring town, just a 10-minute drive away, you’ll find the Cazalegas Reservoir, a natural area perfect for water activities, hiking, or simply enjoying a refreshing swim.
About 20 minutes away lies Talavera de la Reina, a city crossed by the Tagus River, famous for its traditional pottery and rich historical heritage.
In only 45 minutes, you can reach Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage city, where medieval streets, the majestic Cathedral, the Alcázar, viewpoints overlooking the Tagus, and exquisite traditional cuisine await you.
And for a unique experience, the historical theme park Puy du Fou España is also about 45 minutes away by car, offering open-air shows that vividly tell Spain’s history — an ideal plan for the whole family.

In short, Los Jilgueros del Alberche is the perfect starting point to combine relaxation, nature, and culture — enjoying the peace of the countryside without giving up the proximity of cities full of history and charm.

The house is located in Atalaya del Alberche, a peaceful rural area surrounded by nature, about 45 minutes by car from Toledo and approximately 1 hour from Madrid.

The most convenient way to reach the property is by car, as it allows you to move around freely and easily explore the surrounding areas. From Toledo, you can take the CM-4000 road towards Talavera de la Reina and then follow the signs to the village. From Madrid, the fastest route is via the A-5 motorway (Autovía de Extremadura), taking the exit toward Escalona and continuing on to Atalaya del Alberche.

The nearest airport is Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD), located about 1 hour and 30 minutes away by car.

Although there is no direct public transport to the village, it is possible to take a bus or train to Toledo or Talavera de la Reina, and from there continue by car or taxi to the house.

About check-in
You must fill out the online registration form with the guest's details and expected arrival time. You will then receive check-in instructions 48 hours before your arrival.
Check-in: from 5:00 p.m.
Check-out: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., subject to confirmation and availability.

Pets are not allowed.
We thoroughly clean and disinfect each property before and after each stay.
Extra services: Equipment for children, recreational activities, and much more.
The property offers Garage for 1-2 cars
Pool: Only opened from May 22 to September 30.

Basic essentials for first use are provided: shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen paper, sponge, dishwashing products, garbage bags, and spare bed linen.

It is strictly forbidden to host any type of party, play loud music, or engage in activities or noises that may disturb the neighbors — especially outdoors after 10:00 PM. Please respect the community’s right to rest and peace.
If we receive a report that authorities have been called due to disturbances, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation without refund for violation of house rules.

There is a zero-tolerance policy regarding smoking inside the property. If our team finds evidence that this rule has been broken (e.g., smell of smoke, ashes, cigarette butts, etc.), we reserve the right to charge a minimum fee of €200 for smoking indoors. Smoking is allowed only on outdoor terraces, using the provided ashtrays.

Keys: In the event of lost keys or if access assistance is required, guests will be responsible for the replacement cost of the keys, as well as any call-out fees and/or locksmith charges that may apply.
