Located on the edge of the beautiful Norfolk Fens in the village of Welney, this pet-friendly cottage offers the perfect holiday retreat for a couple or a small family. Wonderful views and a lovely garden make this a very special place for a relaxing holiday.


Steps lead from the parking lot to the front door, where you’ll enter a cosy open-plan lounge/diner. Settle down on the plump sofa and warm your feet in front of the roaring open fire. After a day of roaming the open countryside, catch up with your favourite shows on the TV/DVD player. To the rear, there’s a dining table set for four guests and a separate well-equipped kitchen. The property benefits from a downstairs family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Upstairs, you’ll find two delightful bedrooms comprised of a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a twin bedroom. The master bedroom has a zip-and-link which can be made into a twin bedroom on request, while the twin bedroom has two zip-and-link beds that can be made into a super-king-size on request. Enjoy sunny afternoons in the front enclosed lawn. In addition to the garden there is a communal green opposite the rear of the cottage with a picnic bench.


The village is surrounded by the Welney Wetlands. Go birdwatching at the WWT Welney Wetland Centre, just 2 miles away. Go angling in the fishing lakes at the Pisces Country Park which hosts pike fishing. Travel to the city of Ely in Cambridgeshire, 10 miles away, renowned as the former home of Oliver Cromwell. Visit the impressive Ely Cathedral followed by dinner at one of the city’s many reputable restaurants. Let the kids burn off excess energy at Go Ape, 22 miles away in Thetford Forest.

- 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC, 1 en-suite toilet and wash basin (no shower or bath)

- Electric oven/hob, microwave, fridge with an ice box dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer

- Highchair can be supplied on request

- Open fire in lounge (first basket of logs provided)

- TV and DVD player in lounge

- Enclosed, lawned garden to the front.

- In addition to the garden there is a communal green opposite the rear of the cottage with a picnic bench.

- Private parking for 1 car

- Pub 200 metres, shop 5 miles, beach 30 miles

- CCTV outside property, ring camera at rear of property

- Access to 3 fishing lakes at Pisces Country Park (day charges apply)

- Please note – there is a stream adjacent to the front garden

- Decorated for Christmas

- Please note: Due to the character of the property the stairs are steep, and may not be suitable for people with limited mobility
