Bursting with character and set in a tranquil, rural location in the village of Bracon Ash, this stunning barn conversion offers an idyllic country retreat. Adjacent to the ownerâs home yet retaining its own privacy, this magnificent property is arranged over two storeys, with a central hall that extends the full height of the building. Accommodating up to six guests, itâs ideal for families and friends looking to explore South Norfolk, the Norfolk Broads and Norwich.
Beautifully converted to preserve the barnâs original features while adding contemporary style, the property conveys a sense of space from the moment you step into the double-height reception area. A pool and games table welcomes you in, and the open-plan ground floor flows thoughtfully from this central area. A spacious lounge extends to one side, with comfortable seating, a TV, DVD and CD hi-fi, and wood burner effect gas fire. The opposite side features a light-filled dining area along with a selection of books and games, while the adjacent kitchen is spacious and well set up with rural views to enjoy while preparing meals. Patio doors lead to a private lawned garden with a table and chairs to make the most of warmer weather. When itâs time for bed, there are three attractively furnished bedrooms upstairs plus a family bathroom and separate WC.
Explore your surroundings on walking and cycling routes, or head to the attractive market town of Wymondham (5.5 miles) to see its famous abbey. The fine city of Norwich is around 8 miles away, offering a selection of independent shops and eateries and fascinating historic sites, including a castle and two cathedrals. On the outskirts of the city, Whitlingham Country Park (7.5 miles) offers walks, birdwatching and opportunities for a range of water sports.
