Set in a beautiful rural location between Brown Clee and Cleehill Summit this stone cottage evokes the charm of the English countryside—think Kate Winslet’s cottage in The Holiday; a storybook escape where country tranquillity meets timeless charm and outdoor adventure. Perfect for both families and friends looking for cosy nights in around the fire or a network of cycleways and footpaths to explore from the doorstep; including Shropshire Way, Jack Mytton Way and Cross Briton Way with breathtaking views at every turn. Within an 8-minute drive is an award-winning gastro pub, while wild swimming in the River Teme followed by hot chocolate—or champagne—and a cinnamon bun at Csons makes for a magical day out. Enchanting Ludlow, just 8 miles away, is famed for its medieval castle, cobbled streets with fascinating architecture, food festivals and antiques scene. Further afield, discover Bridgnorth’s (12mls) funicular railway and Severn Valley steam trains, Ironbridge Gorge (20mls), Much Wenlock (15mls) and Shrewsbury (27mls), all brimming with history, walks and culinary delights.

A casual dining table provides a lovely setting for breakfast or for everyone to gather while the chefs of the group cook up dinner. Upstairs, the open landing has been cleverly transformed into a nook with leather sofas and chairs – ideal for quiet reading time or a moment away from the group. The property has five individually finished bedrooms, each with its own colour palette and character. Four bedrooms feature en-suite shower rooms, while the fifth is served by a modern family bathroom with a luxurious roll-top bath. The smallest double bedroom has a slightly sloping floor, reflecting the building’s historic character.
Outside, the house sits within expansive gardens with elevated, far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside. The garden’s gently sloping lawn is perfect for children and dogs to run and play, though you may see a few free-roaming ducks wandering nearby.
