Situated in a quiet location on the edge of Horncastle with scenic footpaths leading out from the doorstep, this tranquil retreat for six is the perfect space for a peaceful family get-together. Youâll find pure tranquillity in the quiet countryside village of Edlington, situated south of the Wolds near the River Bain. Venture to the bustling, historic market town of Horncastle, 2.5 miles away, which offers an array of antique shops, pubs, independent stores, and bakeries. Lincoln, 21 miles away, offers plenty to discover, from the castle to the cathedral and a selection of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. The Lincolnshire Wolds, 14.5 miles away, is a playground for keen walkers and cyclists, with a dramatic landscape of rolling hills and hidden valleys waiting to be explored on foot or by bike. For a day by the sea, the gloriously golden sands of costal beaches can be reached within 23 miles.
Beneath the charming red brick exterior, the homely charm leads through the light-filled entrance hallway and into the cosy lounge, which boasts an open fire and doors opening to the garden, perfect for both cosy evenings during the cooler months and enjoying some fresh air in the summer. Creative minds will not be disappointed with the delightful kitchen, equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm with your fabulous new local flavours. The dining area offers the perfect spot to gather with the family over a home-cooked meal or enjoy the ultimate family games night. There are three lovingly furnished king-size bedrooms, one with a convenient en-suite shower room, and each offering stunning views of the countryside. For added flexibility, one bedroom features zip-and-link beds and can be made into a twin on request. A refreshing family bathroom completes the internal layout.
Make the most of the breathtaking views across the surrounding farmland by enjoying a spot of al fresco dining on the outdoor seating area, which includes a BBQ and pizza oven, perfect for entertaining. There is private parking for four cars on the driveway.
