The internationally renowned Welney Wetlands Centre, just outside the village, is renowned for its wildlife conservation, with a wealth of attractions for all ages. This beautiful landscape has wonderful sea and sky views across the Ouse Washes, with a range of bird hides, a visitor centre and cafe where you can collect a backpack with bug-hunting and bird-watching kit. Enjoy pond dipping and walking trails around the reserve. Cyclists can pick up the National Cycle Route which runs through Welney and there are lovely countryside walks to explore on your doorstep. The village has a traditional pub serving local produce, and you’ll find more eateries in March, where you can hire narrow boats to cruise along the River Nene, and in the historic market town of Downham Market (10 miles).

Inside this immaculate holiday home, discover a bright and airy lounge, with white walls, pale wooden floors, and sumptuous sofas, ideal for settling down to watch the Smart TV. Leading off is the streamlined, open-plan kitchen. French doors from the lounge open onto the patio and a large, enclosed garden with a decked area, outdoor furniture and a six-person hot tub, perfect for a therapeutic soak after a day in the outdoors. There is parking for two cars.
