Beautifully Situated Villa with Private Pool - Perfect for Hiking

Casa del Pigué is located in incredibly beautiful settings, and from the house, you have a marvelous view in every direction. The fresh mountain air and the warm Catalan summer is a wonderful combination.

The house is in very peaceful and isolated surroundings with 20.000 m2 of land as part of the property, but just 13 km from Olot – the very interesting capital of the region.

The house is an authentic, Catalan farmhouse that has been completely restored, and it is now of a very high standard. The old stone-walls give a very special authentic atmosphere. There are lovely outdoor areas with two terraces and a swimming pool of 8m x 4m.

Inside, there are four large, neat bedrooms with room for up to eight people. There is no possibility of staying more than eight people, unless it is very small children. There are two bathrooms - one with shower and the other with bathtub. There is a large dining room and a fully equipped kitchen that has stove with ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine and iron. In addition, there is a covered terrace with barbecue.

You can still see traces of the property’s former use as a farm. For an example, the former barn is still there yet it now functions as a covered parking area that keep the cars away from direct sunlight.

The house really sets the stage for relaxation. It is great to sit with a glass of wine on one of the terraces and to eat food prepared on the BBQ-grill, while enjoying the sun and the beautiful views of the mountains. The kids can play at the pool all they want.

There plenty of exciting activities for everyone. It is great to take a walk in the beautiful countryside that surrounds the house: For an example, you can go to the waterfall nearby. It is also a great idea to visit the volcanically active area of Garrotxa. The nearby town of Olot is of course worth a visit. A little further, you can find the well-preserved middle age town, Besalú, and there is just an hour's drive to the Costa Brava's beautiful beaches.

In the opposite direction, there is just a 30-minutes’ drive to the ancient city of Vic, which hosts the biggest market of Catalonia every Thursday and Saturday. From Vic, there is only an hour’s drive to Barcelona.
