Casa dos Cubos Douro River House with swimming pool and river views

Beautiful river house set over 3 floors in a peaceful setting with stunning views of the river Douro. The villa was designed by the daughter of the famous British designer David Mellor with each detail carefully chosen. It has an airy modern yet luxury feel with large bright windows, natural wood floors and spacious bedrooms with large comfortable beds and pristine linen.

The basement has a swimming pool which opens up into the garden in the summer and is covered in winter. The top floor has views of the Douro river and a large wooden table perfect family dinners or cooked for you by our private chef and a fully equipped kitchen.

You can walk into Porto along the stunning river walk or Uber into the center in just 10-15 minutes. Supermarkets are nearby with everything you need and it's 3 minutes to the highway in case you want to explore the Douro Valley or other cities. We offer trips to the Douro for wine tasting, river trips on a Luxury boat and a private chef at the house.

Important notes:
The pool is heated upon request to support our eco energy footprint. For shorter stays of 3-4 days there may be an additional charge. It’s not possible to heat the pool between mid May and October or when it’s over 25 degrees C outside. Please let us know at least one week in advance of your arrival so we can make sure it's warm for you because it takes 5 days to heat in cold weather. There is a city/tourist tax to pay at checkin of €2.50 per adult per night.
