A wonderfully panoramic contemporary sea-view villa with infinity pool, plunge pool jacuzzi, and access on foot to a beach and a taverna.

Located on the side of a hill overlooking the sparkling Ionian Sea and the Greek mainland, Casa Rosemary woos with its views, seduces with its well-designed, clean-lined interiors, and delights with its multi-dimensional al fresco space. Equally suited to romantic escapes, two couples travelling together, and small family getaways, Casa Rosemary has all bases covered for a pleasure-filled experience on beautiful Lefkada.

Inside: accommodation at Casa Rosemary is laid out over two floors.

The main entrance opens into a wonderfully bright and panoramic open-plan space with a pair of wide, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open out onto the terraces and bring in the glorious sea views.

To the right is a sitting area with a large L-shaped sofa and TV, while to the left is a dining table and a well-equipped contemporary kitchen. The décor throughout is a simple but effective mix of white-painted walls and ceilings, cool grey tiled floors, black iron door and window frames, and fixtures in warm wood.

Down a couple of steps behind the living area is a guest WC and the first bedroom, a double with white marble headboard, sea views, access via sliding glass doors to the terrace, and a stylish en-suite bathroom with sea-view shower, also clad in white marble.

The first floor, reached by a bespoke staircase of wooden cantilevered stairs rising above the kitchen and dining area, is home to the second double bedroom, this time with a black marble headboard, splendid sea views, and a luxuriously fitted black marble-clad bathroom with sea-view shower.

Outside: al fresco life at Casa Rosemary plays out on the thoughtfully designed, multi-level terrace that develops along the entire sea-facing façade of the property. With its sublime views and its variety of well-defined areas, this is a space you will not wish to leave in a hurry.

The two large sliding glass windows of the open-concept living space allow seamless communication with a shaded area furnished with quality, well-cushioned outdoor sofas.

Just below is a sun-kissed area with comfy loungers and steps accessing the serene infinity pool, which offers swimmers glorious views out to sea. A plunge pool jacuzzi at one end of the pool, adds to the panoramic watery pleasures on tap.

To the left of the pool when looking out to sea is an outdoor shower and a shaded four-posted day-bed with white curtains, the perfect spot for a revivifying afternoon snooze.

To the right of the pool, meanwhile, is a sunken sitting area with cushioned in-built seating gathered around a outdoor fireplace.

Last, but certainly not least, on the main level of the terrace is the al fresco dining area, which is served by a wood-burning pizza oven, a barbecue and a sink.

Casa Rosemary features a fantastic infinity pool, offering swimmers stunning views while in the pool. There is a drop off the infinity side so we recommend children are supervised at all times. Please refer to our general safety page if you would like more information about infinity pools.

Please note that there is no real shallow end in the pool, whose minimum depth is over 1.5m.

Due to the nature of the property including terraces low walls and several drops around the grounds, children must be supervised at all times.

Parts of the route to this property include some quite steep twists and turns and/or narrow stretches of road. The villa's driveway is also steep. We therefore recommend guests rent smaller car models rather than large people carriers or mini vans.

Road noise is audible from the property's grounds. The volume may rise or fall depending on climactic conditions such as wind direction.
Casa Rosemary rises on the east coast of Lefkada just above the little seaside village of Ligia, which has a beach and a few tavernas. Around 7km to the north is the island's bustling capital, Lefkada Town, and the harbour of Nidri, is about 10km to the south.

Exploring the island of Lefkada, which is 35km long and 15km wide, is relatively easy in a week (if you can pull yourselves away from the views and pool of the villa!) and offers a great deal to see and do. The azure, transparent waters of the Ionian Sea are a real attraction and the varied coastline includes a host of beaches and the dramatic white cliffs Cape Lefkatas on the southern tip. The wooded mountains of the interior, some of which rise to over 1,100m, offer excellent walking, some truly beautiful scenery and a scattering of unspoilt villages where the way of life remains profoundly connected to the island's ancient traditions and customs.

At its northern point Lefkada is connected to mainland Greece by a causeway and, via frequent ferry services from the ports of Nidri and Vasiliki, to several of the other islands of the Ionian archipelago (including nearby Meganissi), making it eminently possible to explore further afield.
