Tucked away in the heart of Stroud, this historic three-bedroom period cottage dates back to 1600's and offers a warm and stylish retreat for up to 6 guests. Inside you'll find a open-plan kitchen/ lounge / diner that creates a welcoming space to relax and unwind. There is a private rear courtyard with outdoor seating, perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. Upstairs are 3 cozy bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom, making this home an ideal base for exploring Stroud and the Cotswolds.
Welcome to our beautifully restored period cottage, nestled in the vibrant heart of Stroud. With space for up to six guests, this characterful three-bedroom home dates back to the 1600's offering a perfect blend of historic charm and modern convenience and is ideal for families, couples, or friends looking to explore the Cotswolds.
Step through your private entrance into a bright and airy open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. The lounge is comfortably furnished with sofas for six and features a SMART TV, allowing you to log into your own streaming accounts and unwind after a day of exploring.
The kitchen diner is well-equipped with everything you need for a self-catered stay, including a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, and washing machine. A dining table for four offers a cosy spot for meals, and the charming stable door at the rear opens to a pathway leading down to a private courtyard with seating for sixâperfect for that morning coffee or evening drinks under the stars.
Upstairs on the first floor, youâll find two small double bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed, and a bathroom featuring a shower over the bath. The top floor loft houses the spacious main bedroom, complete with a luxurious super king-size bed, offering a peaceful retreat.
While free street parking is available nearby it is subject to availability but you may find a spot directly outside. Alternatively, a public car park just a stoneâs throw away offers all-day parking for just ÂŁ3.
Whether you're here for the bustling farmers' markets, scenic walks, or simply to relax, this charming cottage is your perfect base in Stroud.

The town boasts a famous farmers' market, eclectic shops, and a lively cultural calendar.
Beyond Stroud, the district is dotted with charming villages and historic towns like Painswick, Nailsworth, and Minchinhampton. Whether you're into scenic walks, cycling trails, canal-side adventures, or boutique shopping, the area offers a perfect blend of countryside tranquility and creative energy.
Our favourite places to visit are:
- Old Ebworth Centre , The Camp, Stroud GL6 7ES which has a lovely walk above the local Slad Valley.
- Swift's Hill Nature Reserve walk. A very nice long walk accessed via Summer Street. This also leads to The Woolpack Pub, a notable Laurie Lee pub.
- The Heavens Walk through Mount Pleasant: Stroll through a 102-acre area of land popular with hikers visitors, which has a waterfall and meadow. You can door this right from the doorstep.
