Perfect for our family of 4; two singles & 1 couple traveling to celebrate our graduate. Very comfortable & photos presented accurately. We enjoyed morning coffee on the small back porch looking eastward.
Very easy & reliable communication with the Host, they checked in making sure we had everything we needed, much appreciated.
Nice to walking towards the North with a coffee shop & sizable grocery store within 10 minute walk.
Very pleasant to be there, we highly recommend it.
Property was well-kept, close to transit options and check-in process was very simple. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the property to anyone visiting the Boston area.
The apartment was roomy for 4 adults with three fully furnished bedrooms. The beds and linens were cozy and comfortable. Host was very responsive: we had unexpectedly warm weather and he installed air conditioners in less than 12 hours. We would definitely stay here again!
The hosts are wonderful! Very professional, responsive, generous, and welcoming.
Property was perfect. The bedrooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was very nice to have 3 bedrooms for our group. The kitchen is well-stocked and again, very clean. Highly recommend this property!
The 3rd floor apartment was perfect for our stay. Easy to get in, on site parking was great, walking up the spiral staircase was an adventure but totally fine. We would stay there again for sure. Very nicely renovated house/apartment and easy to access Harvard, BU, and BC. The neighborhood was safe and quiet.
Went with friends to hang out in boston, the place was great and the beds were fantastic. have to go search for them for my own place. Any place we wanted to Uber was within 10-15 minutes which to is was perfect.
We stayed with two teens and this place was perfect. Easy less than 10 min walk to the commuter rail into town or even shorter walk to bus stops to Harvard/Central/Kendall Squares. We did not use our car at all while in Boston. The place is was spotless and newly remodeled. We highly recommend this place!
Iâm not a VRBO veteran by any means but Iâm certainly not a rookie. This was easily my best experience. The communication was stellar. Every question I may have had was answered before I could ask it. The place was very clean and modern. Everything you need to cook an entire meal was included. Satellite television. Lots of extra soft cotton towels folded uniquely on each bed. White noise machines if you like them when you sleep. If Iâm ever visiting Boston again, this will be my first choice when it comes to quarters.
Exactly what we were looking for and exactly as described
My adult siblings and I rented this apartment so we could be close to a nearby hospital for a family member's stay there. The apartment was exactly as pictured and described in the listing. It was super clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, the large living room was a great gathering space, and the WiFi connection was strong. Four of us worked out of the apartment at various points during our stay and we had no issues with connectivity. There is a really cute coffee shop a few blocks down the street that we went to every day. The apartment was a quick drive to the Fenway area. The hosts are really easy to communicate with and very responsive. They were also very accommodating.
Overall the apartment was nice. There are 3 bedrooms and a living area with a great couch that could comfortably sleep 2 adults if needed. That area also had a door which is convenient if using as an additional sleeping area. The unit we stayed in was on the 3rd floor. This is noteworthy if traveling with anyone who is elderly or has difficulty with stairs as the stairs are quite narrow, steep and curve around almost like a spiral staircase. Navigating with large suitcases can be tricky but is doable. The apartment is located immediately off of a busy interstate so road noise is present but this is to be expected in many places in a city this size. The kitchen does contain most of what you would need for cooking and eating, however, if you are cooking for more than 2-3 people the options are more limited as there is only 1 pan. There were lots of pots though. There were also no dish towels but an adequate paper towel supply. This is an older home that has been renovated nicely but the floors appear to be original hardwood and do squeak substantially throughout the entire apartment. There will be no sneaking around in this unit. The check in process was very easy and the location is convenient to grocery stores, T access and places to eat and easily accessible for Uber drivers.
We had a great stay in Boston this spring for the Boston Marathon.A friend of ours was running the marathon for the first time and my wife and two friends came down to support. Kevin & Leigha were great hosts and very repsonsive. Check in was a breeze and they were even kind enough to let us stay a little later on our last day as our flight home wasn't until later in the afternoon.Alston is a great little community with a bunch of excellent shops and restaurants close by. The Charles River and Harvard are within walking distance and worth checking out and access to transit into the city is less than 10 minutes away.Would definitely recommend their place for a small group looking for a place to stay just outside the city and hoping to catch a game at Fenway or see some of the campuses around town or the sites around Boston.
Perfect for our group of 5 friends exploring Boston for the weekend! A few coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance; for the most part we Uber'd everywhere but you can get to most places within a 15 minute ride. The place was super clean and the bedrooms are all a good size!
This always is a great find we have stayed at more than once. Perfect location close to grocery store and the Charles River. Great hosts that had extra towels ready for us.
This was not quite what we had imagined. It is situated in a residential neighborhood next to a busy busy road, there was constant noise. The house was fine but let down by a few small things. We couldn't put our clothes away in the wardrobe or drawers because they had random crumbs, cables etc and didn't feel clean. There were no wine glasses, only plastic which is a pet hate. In fairness, we were last minute booking and there wasn't much choice of this type of accommodation.
Although we did use public transport to access Boston one day, it really wasn't very convenient, trains don't run that frequently so we ended up driving in for flexibility and so we could travel to multiple places easily.
I would not recommend this to friends visiting Boston
Online pictures of property shows the updates to the condo only. Staircase is very tight going up and down to third floor unit. Location is perfect. Safe neighborhood with easy access to everything. Bed count includes a rolling cot not pictured in the online listing. Overall a good experience. Would look into another unit if we returned to the area.
Kevin and Leigha live and work in Boston. Part of our business is property management so our properties are always well maintained. We love our neighborhood and enjoy sharing our favorite places with guests. We enjoy traveling, our most recent adventures took us to Cuba and Ireland, as well as ski trips to Wyoming and Utah.
Architecturally, the building is considered a "3 Decker" which is a design most commonly found in New England. 3 Decker style buildings were constructed in Boston as tenement housing in the late 19th early 20th century and were mostly occupied by immigrants who worked in local factories, mills and shipyards. Over the last twenty years, however, many 3 Deckers have been converted to condos, the natural design is appealing to city dwellers who appreciate the high ceilings, bay windows and private outdoor space it affords its residents. 3 Deckers are also well known for each apartment having its own private deck off the rear of the building, one on top of the other. Our guests have exclusive use of their own private deck.
