This place was very solid and has everything you need. I was a little worried about how comfortable the beds were going to be based on other reviews, but we all slept just fine. Close to mountain and town, great for place for the price. Slightly older but no issues at all.
The 6 of us enjoyed our stay. The house is close (15 mins) to Sierra, but, thankfully, not close enough to have to deal with the noise or traffic. The steps/ramp got pretty slippery at night due to melting snow during the day. Better to go through the garage. There was plenty of blankets and pillows. The âfireplaceâ was off limits, so that was kind of a bummer. Also, while the inside of the house was nice and clean, the outside trash can was full when we got there. Luckily we didnât create to much trash and were able to fit it all in before we left.Aside from these minor issues, Iâd definitely stay there again. Itâs a great spot for a get away.
There was NOTHING wrong with the cabin. It was in the perfect location. Snow right outside the door, 5 min away from Tube Tahoe and only 18 from Heavenly Village. The rooms were spacious and accommodating. However we would never stay there again because the beds were absolutely torture. Honestly, you could sleep on the floor and have the same experience. No one could get a good nights rest, we tossed and turned all night. It was PAINFUL and i truly mean that. Those mattresses shouldn't be legal. We are home now and i have a bruise on my right hip from sleeping on my side. Absolute torture. Please for the sake of future guest replace those beds. I imagine sleeping on a mortuary slab would be more comfortable than the beds you have available for paying guests.
I have rented at least 10 times here and this is the first time I have been disappointed - and I was VERY DISAPPOINTED... there are two beds - one was so hard that we ended up sleeping on the couches. Our guests slept on the other bed and it was so soft that they rolled into the middle of the bed all night. AWFUL - when you don't get rest at night then your day is not nearly as enjoyable. HOWEVER the people at the office are always very helpful and pleasant to work with.
Read all the reviews, so knew what to expect, but was a bit disappointed with the management company. When we arrived, I received a text asking how the cleanliness was, I responded that the bathrooms were dirty with hair all over. They asked me to send a photo and they replied asking what they can do. At that point there no use for them to come âcleanâ as we arrived from a long drive. No other action was taken, nor did they reduce the cleaning fee which shouldâve been done.
The main reason we stay at a VRBO is to cook. The oven didnât work. I again contacted the management company and they offered to come take a look at the oven. They never arrived, even though we insisted, and again nothing was done or taken care of.
We didnât get reimbursed at all, which was disappointing. Otherwise the cabin was again as listed on the site a bit old definitely need some renovations. It smelled like old but itâs an a great location. Kitchen items could be updated as well.
Easy to check in is always a plus for our family as sometimes we get to our destinations a little late. All the information we needed was given prior to our arrival. It was super clean and had the essentials.
The internet went down the last night I was there so that was a little bummer especially since I was in the middle of a movie. It never came back up until we checked out.
Property management was responsive with our needs - it was easy to just chat or call them if there were any issues.
Upon entering the home you may feel like you are on the set of That 70s Show. However, everything is functional. Plenty of hot water and the central heating works well and the vents are strategically placed for maximum comfort. The bathroom connected to the master bedroom has an awesome heater situated right in front of the toilet. Genius! The master bed is huge and there was an abundance of pillows! The spare room bed is very firm but I like it that way. My wife and I enjoyed our 4 day stay in this quaint little cabin. If you are not humble then a suite resort may be better for you. But if you want your own little hideaway in a super quiet neighborhood, this spot is for you!
Decent & cozy house. Location not too bad either. Entry & exit into the home was really convenient. Garage parking available. 15 mins or so to the Heavenly gondola. Apart from the king & queen bed, the pull away beds are very uncomfortable and very small. So if you are planning as a group of more than 4 adults, keep that in mind.
To the owner/vacasa: might be good to add sugar, coffee & tea in the pantry.
Everything was old but at least it was clean. A new set of pots and pans would be nice.
Also I thought it slept 6 but really 4 comfortably. My daughter in law slept with the kids while my son slept on the couch.
Standard older South Lake property. Everything you need for a comfortable stay and in a great location between Heavenly, Kirkwood and Sierra. I would definitely stay here again.
The house is spacious, clean, and quiet. Amenities are dated but work (aside from the dishwasher, which did not turn on). The washer and dryer are coin-operated, which was inconvenient. Still, the place is worth the price and would stay again.
Wow. We needed time to gather our thoughts on this place. It's a good place for sleeping but a bit far from the town. I think this place is up for renovation at some point (It's in desperate need of upgrading!).... the water pressure was phenomenal. The W/D were quarter-operated like a laundromat, which didn't work for us. The fridge served it's purpose but the door flies open. Neighbors are lovely. We appreciate the time we spent there; but definitely consider updating things!
The listing shows the lake through trees which gave the impression you could see it from the house. The house is very dated. Some items and the cabinets in the kitchen had old grease on them. The carpet was old but did seem clean.
House had everything you needed. Kitchen was well stocked with all cooking pots you would need. Loved that it had 2 bathrooms. House was very clean. Neighbors were very friendly.
