The Retreat Westward Ho!
Perched up the hill from Westward Ho!âs vibrant centre and gorgeous beach, this spacious and contemporary home offers delightful accommodation to groups of friends and families with the dogs in tow. Westward Ho! charms with its wealth of seaside shops and welcoming restaurants, cafes and pubs. For bucket-and-spade days together, golden Westward Ho! Beach is the best spot for family fun, water sports and plenty more seaside activities. More North Devon fun awaits in Bideford (3 miles), where a historic quay is lined with shops and places to eat and drink, while the Bideford Heritage Centre is the best place to learn about the regionâs maritime history. Families will love a day out at The BIG Sheep amusement park (2 miles) where a wide choice of thrilling activities await. More local hotspots include charming Appledore, pretty Clovelly, and the Hartland Devon Heritage Coast (all within 12 miles).
Step inside and be greeted by a welcoming entrance hall with a cloakroom and room to kick off muddy walking boots and sandy shoes. To your right youâll find the sumptuous lounge with its whitewashed walls and large, L-shaped sofa. Unwind in here, resting weary walking muscles as the Smart TV streams your favourite shows and the cosy wood burner crackles. When stomachs begin to rumble, cross the hallway into the gleaming kitchen and find all you need to cook up feasts for your loved ones, who can gather in the adjacent dining room to plan the next adventure over food, or dine al fresco on the garden patio. Let your food settle afterwards in the sunroom with its soft seating and peaceful garden views, or have a competitive game of table football. At the end of each day away, choose from five welcoming bedrooms, the first of which is on the ground floor. Here, just off the hallway, find an inviting double bedroom with its own Smart TV. The remaining four bedrooms await up on the first floor, all of which boast soft, calming tones and Smart TVs for lazy mornings in bed. Choose from a master super-king-size room with an en-suite shower room, a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and two twin rooms, one of which can be converted to a super-king upon request. Completing the interior is a well-appointed, first-floor family bathroom, and a convenient ground-floor WC.
Outside, the beautifully tiered rear garden offers plenty of outdoor space. On the lower level, you'll find a bubbling hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. The upper patio level features garden furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining. There's also an outdoor tap and hose on the side of the property, ideal for rinsing off sandy toes or muddy paws. For added fun, step into the garage, where youâll find a gym complete with a punch bag and gloves, bench, dumbells, barbell, ropes and pull up barâperfect for all ages to enjoy! Private, off-street parking is also available for up to five cars.
