LIGHT RAIL - Take the light rail all the way to the airport from the end stop at Byparken.

BIKE SHARE / ELECTRIC SCOOTER - Rent bikes and electric scooters through an app at stations all over the city. Super fun and convenient!

PARKING:

The easiest parking solution is Klostergarasjen, with access from Valkendorfsgaten only 200 meters away. The daily rate is 250 NOK.

Lovely stay in Bergen

Loved this place. Great location. Only problem was the steep stairs and ladder within the property. People with small children and older adults should be aware of this aspect. Had an amazing time and appreciated all of the amenities.

Thank you for the detailed feedback — and I’m sorry your stay fell short of expectations. We’ve reviewed each point and are taking action: - Stairs: the listing will be updated to clearly state there are two steep flights and we’ll add photos and an accessibility note. - Coffee & kitchen items: we’ll provide a pour-over holder (or clearer instructions for the coffee press), confirm presence of the microwave and add simple operating instructions, and either locate the pressure cooker or remove it from the listing. - Refrigerator/freezer: maintenance defrosted and inspected the freezer and will monitor for recurrence. - Bathroom light: a replacement bulb/fixture has been scheduled. - Washer: a starter packet of laundry soap will be supplied. - Recycling/garbage: we will leave garbage bags and clear recycling/sorting instructions in the unit. - Door locking: step-by-step lock/unlock instructions and signage will be added in the entryway. I regret the inconveniences during your trip and appreciate you calling these items out — your comments helped us improve the guest experience.

Disappointing Stay: Frustrations and IssuesInitial Disappointment and Accessibility• Unfortunately our 8 day stay was disappointing.• it should have been noted in the description that there are two steep flights of stairs to get into the living space, although I understand this is not unusual for Bergen.Missing Amenities and Malfunctions• there were also a series of small frustrations:• there were coffee filters but we could not find a pour over "holder" - there was a coffee press.• The freezer section in the refrigerator was so frozen over it was unusable until we defrosted it.• the light over the bathroom sink did not work.• if there was a microwave, as listed in the description online,we could not find it.It might have been a function of the oven but we could not find any directions in the unit or online.• A pressure cooker was mentioned in the listing but could not be found.• There was a washing machine but no soap.• There were no garbage bags and no instructions for how to sort recycling. • I am sure the owner would have addressed these issues but we were on a tight schedule and did not contact him.• There was also some confusion about locking and unlocking the front door - again this is probably common in Norway but some instructions would have been helpful.
