à propos de cet hébergement
Auchenlarie Courtyard No 3 - a cottage that sleeps 6 guests in 4 bedrooms
Auchenlarie Courtyard No 3 is one of several cottages set in a beautifully renovated farm steading. Located in the heart of Galloway, just a stone's throw away from picturesque Wigtown Bay and some of the finest scenery in Scotland.
Situated directly opposite the owner's family run Holiday Park, the cottage is perfectly located to enjoy all that the park offers, including use of the fitness facilities which include a Gym and a Pool; entertainment and live shows in the Starlight Suite or sampling some of the great food available at the Tide & Table Restaurant and Tides Takeaway.
A short drive is Gatehouse of Fleet; the town is a popular tourist destination with many excellent cafes and hotels together with access to the wonderful "Bluebell" Cally Estate woodlands. Slightly further is the âArtist Town' of Kirkcudbright with its connections to the âGlasgow Boys' and Girls', the town is a thriving centre for arts and crafts and is home to numerous private galleries and the public Kirkcudbright Galleries which hosts a wide range of exhibitions. The town is also home to a working harbour and local fishing fleet, the Dark Sky Gin Distillery, next to which you will discover the Dark Sky Planetarium, a state of the art, interactive space themed experience which is well worth a visit and learn about our night skies. If History is your thing the NTS property Broughton House home of the artist E.A Hornel along with its Japanese inspired garden is located on the High Street, with MacLellan's Castle holding court over the town. The Summer Festivities Committee run a full and varied programme of events throughout most of the year including a Jazz Festival, popular Scottish Nights, a Tattoo, Country Fair and an Arts & Crafts trail throughout the summer months and a Fringe Festival and a Festival of Light held in the autumn.
South West of Scotland is well known for its mild climate, attractive unspoilt countryside and for the diversity of the outdoor and recreational pursuits. The area is renowned for golf, birdwatching, fishing, walking and the many beautiful gardens of South West Scotland. Logan Botanic Gardens, Castle Kennedy and Threave Gardens are all within easy reach as well as many smaller gardens and nurseries.
Dumfries and Galloway as a whole is renowned for its unspoilt beaches. Whether you travel east or west, a day on the coast never fails to please, with some of the most popular destinations including Mossyard, Monreith and St Medans, Sandhead and Ardwell Bay.
