Not awful not great
The location was great, the static caravan was as you'd expect. It was definitely a 3 star. Not awful. Not great. Positives: Arran is beautifulSize of the placeComfortable furnitureOwner was friendly when we met themUnder different circumstances it could be a great stayThe decking is a sun trap in the late afternoon.The blankets smelled dirty and the place smelled damp when we first arrived. The owner let their dogs bother mine when we were just trying to relax on the decking, the dogs were trying to get in to our place.Another person who was related to the owner lost control of their dog who came inside our place. Dog poo left by others. The coin electric meters leave you worrying if you can have the heating on and washing dishes in cold water. And of course it cuts out when he runs out. There were a lot of small things that would make a difference, like marking car spaces. With the big lorry parked there it was really hard to get parked. Utensils were old, the tin opener literally fell apart. If the ad had been honest about the distance from the car to the accommodation I would have packed didn't. it's not easy to those high ones on a gravel path. We ended up being stuck in a conversation with someone who works there having a rant about other people who were visiting the owner, and all the problems they were having. It was a weird vibe.
