à propos de cet hébergement
Detached stone Barn Conversion in a Peaceful AONB in North Devon
The Long Barn is a detached Grade II listed stone barn conversion situated at Highford Farm, Higher Clovelly, Devon. Itâs in an area of outstanding natural beauty near the stunning Hartland Peninsula and famous fishing village of Clovelly. The Long Barn is the last property on the farm and on the edge of open fields with far reaching views to the sea and over farmland. Itâs on a Grade II listed non working Victorian model Farm.
The farm has lots of history much of which can be seen on the buildings and the old farm machinery in the grounds.
The area is very peaceful, away from roads and is home to the retired Clovelly donkeys, who can often been seen in the field adjacent to the barn.
Step inside the entrance to be welcomed into the open plan living room with high vaulted ceilings throughout, LPG fire and central heating. Inside the living room you will find a dining table with views towards the sea and over farmland, sofas and the TV with freesat. The access to the property is up 4 steps.
The lounge also leads to the private enclosed back garden.
The separate kitchen space has everything youâll need to cook during your stay with a single oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and all kitchenware.
The main bedroom features a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and nightstands, with views into the enclosed back garden.
The second bedroom also features a double bed and drawer units, also with views into the enclosed back garden.
The main bathroom contains a shower over bath, toilet and sink. Internally, there is one step to access the bathroom. There is also a separate cloakroom.
To the front of the property there are two allocated parking spaces and an unenclosed side garden with views out to sea and over fields where the retired Clovelly Donkeys like to graze! Their stables are right behind The Long Barn and you are welcome to visit them.
The property also has WiFi. Bed linens and towels are provided.
The Long Barn is well situated and only a short drive from some beautiful surfing beaches, Westward Ho! and Bude to name a few, lots of coastal walks and the Tarka Trail for Cyclists as well as lots of other attractions to visit.
We are proud to be dog friendly although we do ask you bring your own bedding and throws if dogs are allowed on beds and sofas, thank you.
