Absolutely nothing can be said to justify the beauty and ambiance of this remarkable cabin!! My family and I give it the highest rating possible. The hosts were kind and efficient. We plan on making this happen again in the near future.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Pat & Jeriâs cabin. It was a very nice and comfortable home with a beautiful view of the mountains and easy access to the ski slopes. The hosts are very responsive and very friendly!
We very much enjoyed the cabin and outside fire pit. The host was very helpful with helping us with early check in and when we had vehicle troubles. He had neighbors come help us. The driveway was a challenge for our full dress touring bikes but we made it work. The amenities in the cabin were great! Overall we loved our experience and the rides around the Smoky Mountains was awesome!
If you're looking for warm cabin get-a-way this is the place. We enjoyed Christmas with our family there for a week. They had everything we needed for a nice, comfortable stay in the smokies!
Good location for activities in the Waynesville area. The cabin was very clean, beds comfortable and we really enjoyed listening to the stream nearby. The owners were very quick to respond and could not have been more helpful.
The home was easy to find, quiet, very clean, and had a great location to get to wherever we were gonna spend the day. My only critique to someone who might be interested in renting the cabin is that the cabin is small and the upstairs bedrooms are wide open, it felt cramped for a larger group (we had 7 people). However, overall we had a great experience with the owners, the cabin, etc. Would defnitely recommend it for smaller groups.
Everything was as expected the cabin was excellently cleaned. The three queen beds were the perfect assortment of comfort the amenities were great and it truly is conveniently located close to everything in that area. The only thing I would change is the surrounding area around the cabin. It takes away from how gorgeous the cabin really is.
The cabin is great. The listing shows it is 1.9 miles from the slopes and ski in and ski out. While there is a road that would make it 1.9 miles, it can not be used by the general public so it is really 20-30 minutes away. I rented this cabin so my high schoolers would be close to the cabin and wouldn't have to drive far. This was a huge disappointment. Also one of our cars could not make it up the drive after it snowed. Wheels just kept spinning. Might need more gravel. We had to park it a long way away and walk.
Wonderful spot to get away and see the fall colors. The cabin was conveniently located to go hiking, see the elk in the Great Smokies, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had more than enough space and enjoyed the deck and fire pit.
We had the best time and loved this cabin. Itâs so cozy! The driveway is a little steep with sharp curves but not a problem at all if you have a truck or SUV. Loved the sound of the stream across the street. Would definitely stay here again! The owners are so nice and helpful also!!
Thanks for sharing your cabin! It was very roomy for our family of 4 adults. Loved the front porch. The kitchen has all the essentials, and the cabin was clean and new. Terrific location with easy access to Waynesville, Maggie Valley, Asheville, Blue Ridge Pkwy, and the Smoky Mountain National park.
The cabin is awesome.. and all the amenities are fantastic.. but if you ride a motorcycle it's not so fun.. the driveway is terrible ( it is a shared driveway ).. and getting up to the cabin is not fun.. the other thing that is a problem is you have to take your trash with you when you leave.. You are to take it to the county dumpsters.. that are NOT open on Fridays.. How do you do that on a motorcycle? Owners should make it easier in that respect ( especially when they know in advance that the guests are coming in on motorcycles ) but other than that I would definitely recommend that rental..
There are a lot of great golf courses within an hour of this property. Me and 3 friends each had a room and the house was immaculate. An added bonus was the cornhole boards that allowed us to continue the competition weâll into the evening
We live in Tampa Florida and have three adult kids, Are youngest is attending Florida State University. In 2004, our family rented a cabin in Waynesville and we all fell in love with the North Carolina mountains! In 2014, we bought the property and began designing the cabin. In March of 2016, we broke ground and opened for business in December of 2016.
The cabin was Pat's childhood dream. Ironically, years ago, Pat's sister bought them "The Kennedy Hideaway" sign, which hangs next to the front door of the cabin. We had no idea that would eventually become the name of our business.
Jeri teaches special needs kids in high school, which has been her passion for over 25 years. Pat retired from a career in law enforcement and now works at a local hospital.
We enjoy providing a clean, well stocked authentic log cabin for our guests to enjoy. Our goal is for our guests to enjoy the majestic mountains and make memories that will last a lifetime.
We chose this property for numerous reasons. The views are spectacular and the rushing water from the stream provides such a soothing experience while you enjoy the rockers on the porch by day and amazing white noise while you sleep at night. Whether you're looking to hike, see elk, enjoy beautiful waterfalls, explore the Smokey Mountain National Park, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, ski or go tubing, white water rafting, ziplining, gambling in Cherokee, the Biltmore in Asheville, enjoying great restaurants, or shoping in Waynesville or Maggie Valley, you're never far from the cabin.
