And when you need a day of pure relaxation, there are plenty of beaches to choose from.

Extending over 70m², with space for 6 people, Casa Da Franca offers an excellent alternative to staying in a hotel. Featuring exquisitely furnished interiors including an elegantly styled living room and dining area, a super-modern kitchen and 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, the apartment is likely to be much more than just a base in the town. In fact, staying here means you can still enjoy the beauty of a top-class hotel but at the same time benefit from the luxury of space and privacy. Glossy white floors, striking light fittings and design features blend with comfort and high-end technology to ensure a supremely relaxing stay.

The apartment is on the first floor, with a lift, and an entrance lobby provides additional space for coats and for hanging clothes. The main open-plan living room features a lounge area with pristine white sofa (converts to double sofa bed), and a separate dining area. To one side of the room, the fabulous, sleek kitchen, with a striking white marble splashback, has ample storage and preparation space should you wish to eat in, and all mod cons. But for your early-morning coffee or evening aperitivo, wander through one of two sets of French windows onto the private terrace, sit back and watch the world below.

The tasteful furnishings continue into the 2 bedrooms, where brilliant splashes of colour contrast with soothing toothpaste-white walls and bed linen, providing a welcome sanctuary from the busy streets of Sorrento.

• Choose from several beaches, including the sandy Cala di Puolo in Massa Lubrense (4km) and the pebbly beach at Marina Piccola (600m).
• Take the ferry or hydrofoil from Sorrento port to the stylish island of Capri.
• Naples Capodichino International Airport – 57 km.


Making the most of your stay in Sorrento

• The apartment is on the first floor. Lift available.
• There is no parking space, and parking isn’t easy in Sorrento. However, public transport links are excellent, and we recommend using public transport where possible. If you do have a car with you, you can park in a public car park (pay locally).
• Sorrento is busy during July and August, so if you can visit in May, June or September, you’ll experience the town at its best. Fortunately, Sorrento’s mild climate means that visiting in early summer or early autumn is a great option.
• You’ll have everything you need close by in terms of local restaurants and food shops. When you want to dine out away from the crowds, head for one of the family-run seafood tavernas in the nearby port. However, great food and the Sorrento peninsula go hand in hand, so when you feel like venturing further afield, choose one of the excellent restaurants in Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, or at Nerano on the tip of the peninsula.
