The apartment building was terrible. The hallway was extremely dirty and the unit was dirty, the bathroom was stained, there was no hot water for the shower, and there was an odd odor in the unit. The apartment was so bad we left after the first night of a four night reservation and went to a hotel. The management company - Singular Stays - was non responsive.
This is NOT a smoke free apartment. Smoke from adjoining apartments filled the home each night. The host offered to run an ozone machine which required vacating for hours or providing us with incense. We asked to move to another property hosted by singular stays since my son has asthma but weâre denied. The issue with with the apartment building and ventilation system. We had health concerns related to the smoke. Vrbo was not helpful and did not find us a new accommodation.
This was by far the worst experience weâve had at VRBO. Worst check in process, very cheap apartment, unclean, and smelled of smoke. The balcony is tiny and unusable. Not worth the price. See pictures.I asked for specific details of how I was to receive the keys to the apartment and was told I would receive an email the day of checkin, which never arrived. I was asked to provide details of my train info arrival so they would be prepared, and because the train was delayed 2 hours I sent several messages to the only WhatsApp number they gave me keeping them informed of the delay. We were supposed to arrive at 9:30pm and were told the night team would greet us, but they offered no contact information or an after hours number to call⊠it turns out the original WhatsApp number they gave me was not monitored after office hours and also did not accept phone calls. We arrived at the property at 11:30pm and had to wait on the street with all our luggage for one hour while on the phone on an international call trying to sort out who was supposed to greet us and why they were not there. I was contacted by 2 other individuals on WhatsApp but they would not take calls either and only answered my messages every 10 minutes or so (they seem to have been in a different country, likely a call center). We eventually found the person with the keys, and were told he was never informed of our delay. Not fun standing out on the street with your family at midnight,
