I recognize the managing a rental property is not an easy task. That said, there were various factors that made this stay suboptimal. On the positive side, the location was ideally situated near the most interesting attractions in Rabat, and close to Mdina. Communication was not ideal. I did not receive any detail about access to the apartment until after I arrived in Malta the morning of our stay. I requested to leave luggage at the home a few hours before official check-in time so as not to have to drag it around Rabat. We never received a response to this request. The listing itself is somewhat misleading. It represents the bedroom suite in a house, showing photos of the entire house, implying exclusive use of the property. In fact there were several other room/suites separately rented out in the house, with the majority of the house as shared space. The suite itself was as it looked in the photos. However, the air conditioning unit in the bedroom suite was quite noisy and unable to keep up with the heat. The common spaces were not air conditioned at all and were extremely musty and dank. There was no kitchen (as was stated in the listing) but instead a tiny mini-fridge and kettle--and no implements or other cooking facilities. Finally, the Wifi signal in our unit was too weak to be usable. I would recommend to the owners that they update the listing to specify that the house is a shared space. I also suggest updating the AC unit.
