Goodwood Events House with Parking & Garden
Our spacious, detached house sleeps up to 6 people. The downstairs space consists of a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area. This is a really great social area with large bifold doors leading out to the garden.
The living area has a large corner sofa surrounding a TV. The kitchen is light and modern with excellent self catering facilities, TV and a boiling tap. In the dining space there is a dining table and chairs.
Downstairs there is a double bedroom with access to the bathroom with walk in shower and toilet.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a modern family bathroom. This is a large bathroom with large corner bath and walk in shower. Please note that there are no blinds or curtains on the upstairs bathroom window which overlooks field and a country road.
The master bedroom has storage space and overlooks the garden. The second double bedroom upstairs is lovely and light, benefitting from two aspect windows overlooking the front of the property and the garden.
The secure garden has a decked area with outdoor seating. Dogs are very welcome in the house. We ask that they remain off of the furniture and downstairs only. We provide dog treats, a water and food bowl and towels for you to dry them after a nice walk!
Location:
Set in a quite lane, the property has much to offer in the local area. The countryside of the beautiful South Downs National Park and the south coast offering plenty of nature or childrenâs activities are within a short drive. Although the surroundings are peaceful, the property is only a 5 minute drive away from the A27 which is brilliant for connections to local attractions including Chichester, Arundel Portsmouth and Brighton.
The village of Walberton is a quaint, small, typical English village â just a short walk away down a country lane. It consists of a post office, a launderette, duck pond, village shop and a pub â The Holly Tree (which serves excellent food!)
Goodwood events are a short 15 min drive away!
Other country pubs in the local area, just a short drive away include â
The George at Eartham 7 minute drive
The Old Stables is located in Fontwell 3 minute drive or 15 min walk
The Black Horse in Binstead is a 4 minute drive
For families with children, Aldingbourne Country Centre is located only a 5 minute drive walk away and has play area, a farm and a lovely cafe.
Fontwell Racecourse has many events throughout the year. Weddings are very popular at Fontwell and as our house is just a 4 minute drive or 20 minute walk away, it is a popular place for friends and families to stay when attending a local wedding.
Fontwell Racecourse also hosts many horse racing events â daytime and evenings including ladies day and also music events.
The nearest petrol station is located in Fontwell, only a 4 minute drive.
Guest Access:
Guests have use of the whole property and garden.
There is a free parking on the driveway for 2 cars.
A welcome hamper is left out for our guests upon arrival which consists of -
Milk, tea, coffee, sugar, cloths, hand wash, cooking spray, dishwasher tablets, rinse aid, washing up liquid, matches, kitchen roll, tissues, bin bags, pen, salt, pepper, fire lighters and tinfoil as well as a some goodies including wine, cookies, chocolates and sweets!
We also include shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom and hand wash at each sink.
Dogs are very welcome to stay free of charge if booked in advance and the garden is secure. We ask that they remain off of the furniture and downstairs only. We provide dog treats, a water and food bowl and towels for you to dry them after a nice walk!
We can provide a travel cot (please provide your own linen) and high chair along with baby packs 0-2 years and toddler packs 2-4 years. Items are subject to availability and requested in advance for shot stays only. All items are to be left in the property at the end of your stay. They will be cleaned and sterilised between each use.
