This small cottage is in a great location, literally a couple of minutes walk into the centre of town, but tucked away in a quiet cobbled side street. Although there is no parking at the cottage, the Little Rodee carpark is about 5 minutes walk away. The cottage was clean and welcoming and had a great quirky charm which we really liked. The spiral staircase wouldn't be ideal if you'd had a heavy night on the town, but it looks lovely. The cottage was warm, the bed was comfy and I really liked that the owner had managed to squeeze some outside space on the mezzanine level, pity the weather didn't allow us to take full advantage. It was a great place to stay for a couple of nights in Chester, lots of local pubs, coffee shops and restaurants nearby.
My only bug bear was that payment was taken before I was asked to provide photo ID and sign a comprehensive rental agreement. This is stated in the details, but you do have to look for it. Personally I wouldn't have booked the cottage if I'd have seen the rental contract first.
Communication with the management company was fine, but I would have preferred to be able to contact the owner.
