Welcome to beautiful Hill House in Llanrhidian, with views of the estuary and Carmarthenshire coastline across open fields and salt marsh it provides a tranquil retreat. This stunning property combines the perfect location for exploring the area, with numerous features to make your stay with us the perfect get away. The house includes an attractive outdoor area with pergola and a large hot tub with comfortable seating, beautiful views as well as a dining area and BBQ. Football fans will love the pair of forza football goals in the garden, guaranteed to keep little kids and big kids entertained. Inside there is a games room complete with pool table, dart board and TV. Thought has gone into every detail in this property to make sure your stay has something for everyone and to ensure your visit to Gower is unforgettable.
Hill House has been in the family for five generations and was originally built in the 17th century. It is situated on a very quiet no through road so has very little traffic coming past the house. The Wales coastal path runs right alongside the property, so why not set off exploring the stunning walks, beaches and sites Gower has to offer.
Kitchen
Hill House has a large and spacious kitchen that has recently been renovated with modern styling and all the amenities you need. The kitchen boasts an all-in-one oven, grill, microwave, and separate oven, as well as a seperate electric four ring hob. There is a full inventory of kitchen essentials including a kettle, toaster, coffee machine and even a wine cooler.
Dining room
The dining room is an extension of the kitchen and features a table that comfortably seats eight, making it the perfect space for family meals and gatherings. Make the most of the views while you dine.
Living room one – “Log burner Room”
Relax and unwind in one of our two living rooms. The first living room is equipped with a cozy log burner (logs and kindling can be purchased locally from the garage) and a smart TV. The room comfortably seats eight people with a four-seater sofa, three-seater sofa, and an armchair. This room features a DVD player and numerous DVDs too. You have garden views from this room.
Living room two – “The TV Room”
The second living room, also known as the TV room, is ideal for kids, movie lovers or football watchers and has a large corner sofa and bean bag. This room also features a book swap where you can find something to read on your holiday.
Games room
The games room is located downstairs leading out to the lovely outdoor seating area and hot tub. In the games room you will find a pool table, dart board and a TV, providing great entertainment for the whole family and all of your guests.
Outdoor areas
Our stunning garden spaces receive plenty of sunshine, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy your holiday.
The plot of Hill House is approximately 2500 square meters in area (0.5 acres) giving you plenty of space to relax in.
The property has three gates which can all be closed to keep the property secure. The gardens are therefore all enclosed.
Pergola and hot tub area
Step outside and enjoy our beautiful, decked area, complete with a large hot tub and comfy outdoor furniture for eight people with string lights and pergola with roof. The hot tub is secluded whilst also making the most of the gorgeous views across the fields and estuary.
Dining area
There is a large outdoor patio area with dining table and chairs to make the most of al fresco dining when the sun is shining. We also provide a charcoal BBQ (please supply your own briquettes).
Large rear garden
There is a large south facing garden at the back of the house, ideal for children and pets to run around in. There are several apple and nut trees here, and you can help yourself to these when they are in season. This garden is 540 square meters making it an ideal location for ball or racquet games.
Bedroom one
Upstairs bedroom one features a super king-size bed, large windows, and plenty of natural light. It also offers a stunning view of the south Carmarthenshire coastline, surrounding area, and beautiful sunsets. This room is large and even has a dedicated workspace unit, making it perfect for those who need to work remotely. This room also has a TV for lazy mornings or when you need some time to yourself.
Bedroom two
Bedroom two is also located upstairs and features a super king-size bed. This room has beautiful views of the rear garden.
Bedroom three
Bedroom three is a twin room with two single beds which can be pushed together to make a super-king if you prefer. This room overlooks the stunning garden at the back of the house but also has a window facing the front of the house. All bedrooms come with bedside tables and lamps.
Bedroom four
Bedroom four is a large twin room located downstairs which provides more privacy. This room is easier to access for those who are not great with stairs or who may have limited mobility. The twin beds can be pushed together to make a super-king. This room has lovely views of the gardens. The downstairs toilet and shower room provide easy access for those staying downstairs.
Shower room and toilet
Downstairs there is a shower room with toilet, sink and shower. which is ideal for people with mobility issues.
Upstairs bathroom
The upstairs bathroom includes a toilet, bath with a large rainfall shower head over it, and a hand basin with a towel warmer.
Local area
Hill House is located in the small village of Llanrhidian. In the local area and village of Llanrhidian you will find a local pub, restaurant, garage, shop and 14th century church. Gower is the UK’s first AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) classified all the way back in 1956, the heritage is plain to see as you explore the area. The area is a designated conservation area with beautiful panoramic views. Whilst in the area we recommend making the most of the many stunning, award-winning beaches such as Rhossili Bay, Oxwich Bay and Three Cliffs Bay. Close by is the lovely Weobly castle which is a nice visit to add to your adventure.
Good to know
• Close by to the property, the local filling station is also a mini market so you can get all your essentials, and wood for the log burner here.
• As we change the hot tub water in between each guests stay, the hot tub may not be up to temperature on your first night.
• We allow up to two well behaved dogs, please do not leave them unattended or upstairs. Also, we kindly request you pick up and dispose of any dog poo at the house as well as out and about on your travels. We are located in a rural area and there may be sheep in the adjacent fields. Please be respectful of this and supervise your dogs accordingly
• There is a highchair, travel cot and stair gate available at the property for any young guests. You would need to bring your own bedding with you for the travel cot.
• Offroad parking for multiple cars.
• Outdoor tap and hose to wash down muddy boots, surf boards, bikes and wet suits.
• Wi- Fi.
