The owners were very nice. The place looked very clean, linens were clean and smelled nice, but the master bedroom smelled like cat pee. Bathrooms and kitchen were well stocked with supplies.
We stayed overnight for a wrestling tournament in town. It was a perfect size and location for our family. Cozy, clean, and comfortable. The kids loved playing with the friendly cats outside. Everything was perfect. Thanks!
The owners are wonderful people. Exactly what we needed for our weekend in kenai. Homey, comfy, quite and plenty of room for all of us. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!!
Older home that had everything we needed plus more. It was the perfect place to stay for a little exploration of the Suldotna area. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and loved the tour of the boat. If we need a place to stay in the area again, we will definitely see if the home is available!
This is no Ritz-Carlton, but my two sisters, me, and my brother-in-law needed a place close to Soldotna for Sockeye fishing. This fit the bill perfectly with the 3 bedrooms. Hosts Gary and Teresa were great, meeting us at the road as we arrived and giving us a tour of the house and yard. Just what I needed for this quick weekend trip to Alaska.
Teresa was an awesome host for us. We originally had only one night scheduled at their property but with a wild fire causing our vacation plans to change we ended up staying with them for 4 nights. She was so very communicative and an absolute pleasant person who truly cared about us. House is very comfortable with great cabin feel. The backyard is absolutely beautiful as well. She and their home made us feel great on our 25th fly fishing Anniversary. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommended this property that is perfectly just outside of Soldotna.
The beauty of these cabins and the cove was right out of a Fairytale! Unbelievable! We had everything we needed for an incredible and unforgettable family gathering. Everyone was comfortable and no one will forget this place!!!!!
This reminded me of my grandma's house. It was cozy and had everything we needed for a month stay. Gary and Teresa were absolutely wonderful hosts. The wifi can be a bit slow at times so working remote for a longer time might not be ideal. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Everything was ready to go. We were centrally located for the things we wanted to do on our trip. They owners have given thought to even the smallest details and for that we were thankful!!
We had a great time! The decor was adorable! The bed was comfy, there was every conceivable toiletry in the bathroom, and the jars of chocolates were a delightful touch. The owners were friendly and accommodating.
Teresa and her husband greeted us, answered all our questions and introduced us to Ghost the outside cat. They provided us with so many amenities from charcoal to chocolates. The house and kitchen were comfortably set up and
stocked ... Fresh garden lettuce and broccoli one evening... I was able to sit on the deck with a fire in the fire pit enjoy the evening and visit with Ghost . It was perfect đ
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Not the place for us.
The "Center of it All" was not the place for us. A guys fishing trip brought us to the area. The trailer was located a few miles south of Soldotna and a few miles north of the Kasilof river area. The inside was clean but the furniture dated (It's Alaska). It was theme decorated with dolls and stuffed animals and not really conducive to 5 guys on an Alaskan fishing trip.
Upon the initial tour we were informed that a cat lived in the house? We could let it in or leave it outside. Maybe not a problem for some but our group had a person allergic to cats and another that just doesn't like them. We kept it outside but our allergic guest still had watery itchy eyes and sneezing attacks. One morning at 3:30 am it scratched and whined at the the door to be let in.
The front door leading to the artic entryway was missing the deadbolt.
The living area was small with a combined dining area as shown in the picture. The dining furniture was old and fragile 70's style with wheels and rocker. One chair gave way when the person was casually leaning back narrowly missing hitting their head on the back door.
The kitchen was small but functional and had most of everything we needed. There isn't a dishwasher which was not a problem for us but in these times being able to sanitize glassware and utensils would be a good precaution.
The master bed room was fine however no door just a curtain separating the master bed and bath. The master shower had some rust and low water pressure. The two other bed rooms were small with small beds and stuffed animals and dolls watching from the closets. The Jack and Jill bathroom was located between the two rooms with no access from the hall. You have to go through one of the bedrooms to access the bathroom which was a problem during the night. The shower/tub was high walled, small and rust stained. You would have to wait a bit for the hot water to flow. The toilet was low to the ground ok for kids but not for taller folks or older people. There were plenty of extra towels and sheets.
The back deck was rotting in places especially at the lawn level. The deck furniture was a few plastic chairs and a couple of 70's dinning padded chairs with wheels. A bench that the cat laid on with cushions covered in cat hair. A small metal fire pit with a screen lid located on the wood deck. Not sure how safe that is? An old small charcoal grill that was a little too small for our needs. There was no instructions sent or listed for check out.
