Family filled fun can be had in oldhurst just a short walk 400yrds away at Johnson’s home farm ,zoo and tropical house .The farm also offers a well regarded steak restaurant ,bar ,butchers and cafeteria .A five minute drive and you can visit Lakeside lodge at neighboring pidley village. There you will find an 18 hole golf course ,gym ,restaurant and ten pin bowling .Nearby st Ives market town is only 5miles drive located riverside there are shops bars ,cafes and restaurants nestling in town and alongside the river .

If you fancy a day out on the river you can hire boats at Huntingdon a ten minute drive or travel to historic Ely with its cathedral bustling town and option to hire day boats .
The raptor centre just outside pidley offers a day out with all its rare birds of prey and regular falconry displays with audience participation.

St Ives also offers a guided busway into Cambridge city where you can site see the universities go to the shops ,theatres or maybe take a boat ride punting on the river cam .
