Even if you bring more guests to stay over, they provided mattresses and pillows in the closet and an extended parking lot in case you bring more than 2 cars!
The house is nice in a great neighborhood but there were a few issues like when we booked it, we were under the impression that there was a nice little deck by the ocean to sit and read by because the property description listed one. That was not the case, I contacted the property manager and he said he had no idea where it was located or how it was listed on the property description. So that was a disappointment, the house needs some TLC, wasnât the cleanest. The house needs a good deep cleaning and the couch needs to be replaced, the bedrooms were nice and the beds were clean but very firm and not comfortable at all. We had a water leak from the bathroom upstairs and was leaking from the ceiling vent into the laundry room and had to call maintenance just for them to show up and clean out the shower drain and said it was due to hair, well the next night we had the same problem and decided not to use that shower for the rest of our stay. The water leaked all over the dryer and down the dryer vent and caused the light in the laundry room to no longer work. The chairs on the front deck are broken with the exception of a few and not very comfortable. With all that said, it did not hamper our vacation and we ended up having a wonderful time. There is plenty to do within walking distance, from bars to food. The beach access is a very short walk about 8 minutes. Overall I would stay again if they fixed some of the issues.
We were pleased with beach house. My only complaint is the furniture downstairs. The couch was full cookies and crackers. Upholstery needs a good scrub.
We went for spring break with three teens and parents. The neighborhood was super cute, well maintained and a nice & short walk to the beach. The only thing Iâd suggest is a little love to the house itself. The furniture was pretty beat up (a chair upstairs had iron-on patches over the worn parts), lots of dings on the walls & cabinets, all cosmetic stuff that can be improved upon. Other than that, the location is great and although we didnât use the pools, it was nice option to have. My husband took advantage of the free golf and the credit towards beach toys was a huge perk as well.
We have been coming down to Santa Rosa for almost 20 years now and this property is in our Top 3 favorite rentals. There was enough furniture for all 5 of us. The kitchen was well equipped. We LOVED the wrap around porch and started our day there every morning. It was a little odd to me that the master was on the second floor CS first. The master bed was a little firm for my liking but it worked. The pool was nice on the few days we didnât go down to the beach. The beach was a quick walk or drive. I wish they had more spots to park down there but that has nothing to do with this property just an observation of the public access area. If you are looking for a quiet family location this is it! My family is already asking when are we renting this property again!
House was perfect size and location was great. To local beach access all within walking distance and a few more 5 to 10 min drive. Lots of places to eat as well.
Side note house starting yo show wear and tear missing knobs and few appliances didn't work. Also few holes in wall and ceiling had leak stains.
Nothing would keep us from coming back for sure. Also two community pools also makes nice afternoon dips after beach.
House was clean and comfortably slept 8. It was a nice quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the beach. It was everything that we were looking for.
Nice location, very tropical and quiet. It's great for family and pets. Beds sleep wonderful. Two pools were a plus! 10 minutes or little less walk to beach. Very short bike ride. 2 nice big decks. Beautiful house, but really NEEDS a thorough cleaning. Ice maker is slow at making ice. Overall we would stay here again.
I love Old Florida Village, although it is an older neighborhood along 30-a. The pros for this particular property were: 1) The bed mattresses were all very firm. I love a firm mattress, although my husband did not like the mattresses and decided to sleep on the couch. You cannot please everyone! 2) the kitchen is stocked with everything you need and beyond. 3) you are within a 10 minute walk of the beach, coffee, and a few restaurants and less than 10 minute drive to grocery, gas, more restaurants, etc. 4) this house is right next to overflow parking since you can only fit 2 cars in front. 5) the pool was never terribly busy with plenty of lounge chairs available.
CONS: 1) the chairs in the main room had tears in the fabric and the main couch was very stained. We covered it with a blanket we had brought because it was a little gross. 2) really needs a fresh coat of paint everywhere. 3) upstairs hallway had nails in the wall where artwork had apparently been. 4) a lot of the furniture had dings, needed paint, etc. 5) the AC is not supposed to be set below 72 due to possibly unit freezing up (and I get that) but it got really hot upstairs at night.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the house. You pick the stuff that is important to you, and for me it was the location and the fact that this house was very reasonably priced for a week!
Property was walking distance from beach, a short drive to shopping and restaurants, very peaceful and cute neighborhood. House could have been cleaner (dishes had to be washed before use due to water spots and dust, and floors were very dirty, wasp nests all over deck). But overall great experience.
Enjoyed staying at this property . My family of six stayed, plenty if room, very comfortable . The home was well equipped.
Short walk to the BEAUTIFUL beach!! We will definitely be back!!
