The Wonky Burrow is a lower-ground-floor apartment with one king-size bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC. There's a kitchen equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, and toaster, and a living/dining room with a Smart TV. Gas central heating, WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in rent. Travel cot available. Outside, there is a shared enclosed patio garden with garden furniture and roadside parking available on a first-come, first-served basis nearby. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Sorry, no smoking. You can find a shop and pub within 0.2 miles. Bring your special someone to The Wonky Burrow for a private retreat. Note: Check-in from 4:30pm and check-out by 10am. Note: There is a step up to the kitchen and bedroom, please take care. Note: Owners live upstairs. Note: Slippers may be of use on the original flagstone floors.

Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is a 30-minute walk to enjoy the spectacular panorama of far-reaching views over the lake and surrounding fells. Brockhole, which offers high wire tree top experiences, is three miles away, and the historic villages of Grasmere, Ambleside and Troutbeck are a short drive away. There is also a variety of watersports on offer for the more energetic at marine centres along the lake.
