With its superb location in a quiet residential area just 10 minutes from Palma and only 15 away from the lovely towns of Soller and Valldemossa, this beautiful Mallorcan-style villa with pool and large terrace is set in an ideal enclave to discover the wonderful beaches and villages of the island -and especially the stunning Tramuntana mountain range-, while staying close to the city of Palma and its beautiful historic centre full of shops and restaurants.
We are welcomed to the villa by a beautiful front patio with a garden and a small pond. From there we can access both the interior of the house and the pool area at the back: a large open space with a lot of privacy and a fantastic covered terrace where we can enjoy dinners with family and friends. There we also find -next to the 5,3m x 3m salt swimming pool- a barbecue, a charming gazebo and an outdoor reading area, as well as a complete bathroom with shower for greater comfort. All this under the shelter of the cypress trees that border the swimming pool and next to the fruit trees along the side terrace of the house.
Inside there is a large living room with direct access to the terrace, a spacious kitchen that can also be opened to the outside, four bedrooms (3 on the upper floor and 1 on the ground floor) and three bathrooms (2 on the upper floor and 1 on the ground floor). The bedrooms, the living room and even the kitchen are all air-conditioned. There is also a flat-screen TV with Chromecast, high-speed WiFi Internet connection via optical fibre, as well as a ping-pong table and a large space for playing games or storing bicycles in the basement. In winter we can also enjoy two fireplaces, one in the living room and one in the back porch, as well as gas radiators in the different rooms of the house.
The villa has a fifth guest room in the pool area. This room is only available on an occasional basis for groups of more than 8 people, and only on request and with the approval of the owners. As a general rule we do not accommodate groups of more than 8 people (not including babies), and only the 4 rooms inside the house are available.
The property is located on a residential area next to Palmanyola, close to the road that connects Palma with Soller, being able to reach both places very easily and in just a few minutes. In the surrounding area we can also find the striking Raixa country estate (free entry), the Alfabia Gardens, the popular Son Amar venue or the Son Termes golf course, among others. There’s a supermarket open from Monday to Sunday along with a pharmacy and several restaurants just a 4-minute drive from the house, in Palmanyola. In addition to two of the most emblematic places of the island such as Palma and Soller, we can also easily and quickly reach other charming villages such as Bunyola, Santa María (which stands out for its Sunday market) or the iconic Valldemossa, as well as the main motorways that link the island. We can also reach different beaches such as Illetas, Portals Nous and Portals Vells, Palmanova or Playa de Palma, and some of the many picturesque coves scattered along the Serra de Tramuntana. In the cooler months, the area is also chosen by many cyclists for its good roads and excellent access to both the mountains and the flat areas of Raiguer and Pla de Mallorca.
In order to be able to travel comfortably to and from the airport, as well as to be able to do grocery shopping or visit other parts of the island, it is necessary to rent a car. The villa has space to park one or two cars easily on the ramp, and it is also possible to park on the street just in front of the house and at the entrance of the urbanisation. Just 100 metres from the villa you can take the famous Tren de Sóller, a railway over 100 years old that runs 4 times a day (you can hear it briefly from the house) traveling a panoramic route between Palma and one of the most beautiful villages of the island, nestled in the heart of the Serra and known for its orange groves and the mix of traditional Mallorcan architecture and beautiful modernist buildings in its historic centre. Next to the urbanisation there is a stop for the TIB bus line 205, which connects Palma with Bunyola, but we advise against coming without your own car as the options for getting around the island by bus are limited and time consuming, while taxis are expensive and difficult to obtain in high season due to high demand.
The entire property is for the exclusive use of guests and will not be shared with the hosts or other people.
We have towels for the house and also for the beach and pool, so don't worry about having to pack them! :)
