Jolly Beach - North Finger

great accommodations, with 2 bedrooms upstairs. Ample tools in kitchen to cook with and nice outdoor space looking at the water in the harbour. I highly recommend this space for 2 to 4 guest.

Nice spot

We have stayed on this part of North Finger regularly. The property was very clean and tidy. The fabric over the pergola did rip loose in a storm, which I am sure has been fixed by now.Barbecue was great and there was a Pizza oven too. We bought two zero reclining chairs and left them there as an alternative to the hanging chairs for the less adventurous.

Very disappointing property

My wife and I booked the month of February 2025 at this property, and from the beginning of our stay we could see that basic/routine maintenance was lacking. While we were disappointed by the overall condition of the unit, what was particularly troubling was we immediately found that the washer was not working, and we were told that it would be 2-3 weeks before repairs could be made. When you are staying for a month but pack a week's worth of clothes you expect that to be able to do laundry during your stay. In addition, we immediately found there was no working TV, which was not fixed until the beginning of our 3rd week at the unit. While the listing advertises a kayak and bikes available for renters, there was no kayak which was not there for our entire stay and the bikes had flat tires and no bicycle pump. The maintenance company eventually stopped by with a pump after the first week to pump up the tires. The listing also advertises 1 king bed and 1 queen bed with premium mattresses. There is not a king bed (only 2 queen beds) and perhaps the mattresses were "premium" 20 years ago, they were far from comfortable now. Then there were smaller issues with the listing like an available "blue tooth speaker" which did not have an electric cord which made it unusable and an "ice maker" which turns out to be two small plastic ice cube trays. The fact that the listing shows that there is a dryer (which there isn't, which really didn't matter since the washer didn't work).

Beware of false advertising

First of all the positives: nice space with 2 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. Good sized living room/dining room and kitchen with a small 1/2 bath on the main floor. Deck off the living room was a nice size. There was air conditioning and wifi.The negatives: We checked into the villa on Friday. We were told the bikes weren't functioning. Kept asking if they could fix them. They never did. It's a good 45 minute walk to the commercial area with the shops/bars/restaurants/grocery store so we ended up paying extra to rent a golf cart. The closest beach was a 15 minute walk and Jolly beach would be about an hour walk. There was no shampoo...we were told that the body gel was the shampoo. No hairdryer. They did finally bring one on Wednesday afternoon. There was no kayak. The washer didn't work. Only towels in one bathroom. None in the other two. They did bring us extra towels after a couple of days. Both the bedrooms had double beds in them. Not a king and queen as advertised. The Tv didn't work. One hanging chair on the deck wasn't useable and the other one was the size for a small child. The lamps and some of the appliances weren't useable as they had UK ends and no adapters. We rented this villa because it was advertised as having bikes, a kayak and a washer/dryer all of which were non-existent or not functioning. Unfortunately we would not recommend staying here.

So happy that we got 2 stars to be honest when it seems we delivered so little. I did message you privately in response to the issues you raise so I'll not repeat that here. Except to once again apologise for the shortcomings you experienced, and once again offer you discounted rates to stay with us again as compensation. We could have done so many things differently between us at the time but alas that opportunity has passed. Rgds Paul
