Cosy, personal, family-friendly nature retreat surrounded by trees and fresh air

Our charming and personable mountain-top hideaway (with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom/toilet, ideal for families) in the middle of a private, secluded and remote tree-rich estate is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the capital city, Accra, just about 45 minutes North of Accra. We are a hands-on host family, always available to our guests, but you will be staying in a separate building next to our own house. It is your choice to choose for privacy, or hang out with us on our patio living room. I’m a Dutch National, born in Ghana, married to a Ghanaian lady, and we have 2 teenage sons. We delight in hosting guests from all corners of the earth, and gladly advise and assist on attractions near or far. Miles of hiking paths, mountain-biking, waterfall visits, Botanical Gardens and Arts and Crafts markets are all close-by, but also breezy terraces and balconies that allow for peaceful relaxation, reading, remote working, mediation, are also part of our lives up here in the fresh and cool mountain air. Our retreat offers peace and quiet, so we also ask our guests to respect the environment, other guests and our neighbours by not being noisy, no loud music, no events, etc.

Aside from the peaceful setting, which is a welcome break from the city, Aaj and Yao's hospitality stands out. They're excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful. Recommend if you're looking for a simple, welcoming break.

Amazing hosts, gorgeous place, relaxingly private when you want it to be, and at the same time a great place for networking or interaction with new people in the common areas, particularly during meal times if you’re dining with the hosts. Low voltage electrical as could sometimes pose inconveniences but issues were attended to swiftly when reported. You definitely get a sense of warmth and home in this space. I love it & am looking forward to returning.

Amazing mountain getaway

Our stay in Aburi was serene with beautiful mountain views! Yao and his wife Adjwoa were very hospitable hosts and helpful with our needs. Breakfast was great on our last day before checking out. I would recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic time at Yaw's place. The delicious food prepared by Laurent and Yaw's warm welcome made us feel right at home. I highly recommend it, and I will definitely return!

Favourite getaway in Aburi!

This was my second time staying at the Treehouse Aburi, my favourite to stay when i want to stay away from the noise and hectic vibe in Accra! Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to resource themselves in a peaceful and serene environment!

Our room was changed upon arrival, We were placed in a temporary one room, then we had to move again, then we were told agan we would be moving in few days again which would be 3rd time to accommodate guests that booked way after us. We didnt get the room we booked even though it was available It rained and the water leaked throughout the room, the owner gave us the option to cancel early which we did, this was a terrible experience that ended up causing us much more expense.

Worth It

I had the most incredible experience at the Treehouse! It's nestled in the heart of nature, providing a serene and tranquil escape. The host was so warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They treated us with genuine respect and engaged us in insightful conversations that made our stay even more memorable. The combination of the beautiful surroundings and the host's hospitality created a truly magical experience. I can't recommend the Treehouse enough for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat and a chance to connect with nature.

Christmas in the Mountains

I loved the communal spirit of the location, something that is missing in our world today. And all the other guests who came through would seem like family as we would exchange pleasantries on our way up or down, in or out. The serenity of the location is the calm one didn’t know they needed. We had kids with us and they loved the space and swings in the garden. The hosts Yao and Aaj are the most accomodating and hands-on team I have ever met -together , they ensured we wanted for nothing! I am looking forward to coming back by myself next time, and I just can't wait.

A breath of fresh air

I spent a lovely week staying as a guest of Yao in a room behind the Trreehouse itself. My room was on the first floor with a bathroom just opposite. The room had its own little balcony with 2 chairs overlooking beautiful wooded gardens. It had its own fridge which was very useful but in addition to that I had access to a rooftop open kitchen with everything you could need. Yao & his wife Adjoa were wonderful hosts. Very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. I enjoyed a lovely meal with host Yao and other guests. As a solo female traveller I felt safe and comfortable. A great place to stay for a relaxing break away from it all in fresh cool clean air. Advisable to have a car as it's a little off the beaten track - but that's the beauty of the place! Thanks Yoa & Adjoa!

A MEANINGFUL WEEKEND!!!

I’ve always had an eye for Tree House and so when my friends and I craved a meaningful and peaceful time away, we knew exactly where to head. The greenery is to die for! The peace, the quiet, the amazing weather, the morning hot beverages to balance it all out are wonderful memories. Oh and that butter? too dreamy and tasty! Yao, you need to tell me what brand that is. lol. The cherry on top is the hospitality of our host Yao and his lovely wife! Yao shared location details and other needed info ahead of the trip, which made our journey stress-free. We had breakfast on the family’s patio in the mornings, accompanied with meaningful conversations, backed with many laughters! I’ll definitely be going back to Tree house!

Robber in the heat

This place provided a very poor cooling system, which only included a fan.That was fifty years old. Upon asking for a refund to leave, they decided to fraudulently. Change the dates and stove two days worth of money from me. While on the way to this hotel, they called me and asked Therefore, I need to put that in now, too.That's your seal me if I want it dinner to eat. After responding, yes, she told me that it was too late and that I needed to place an order for dinner that morning.

Wat een heerlijke plek om te verblijven. Tree House B&B ligt in een prachtige, groene omgeving in het noorden van Accra.Yao en Aaj zijn ontzettend gastvrij en zorgen samen voor een warme, ontspannen sfeer waarin je je direct welkom voelt.Het voelt hier al snel als een “home away from home”. Je kunt je terugtrekken wanneer je wilt, maar er is ook een gezellige gezamenlijke plek om samen te zijn.De B&B is eenvoudig, maar alles klopt: een schone kamer, een heerlijk bed en een fantastische douche. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is echt heel erg goed.Het is heel fijn dat er de mogelijkheid is om mee te eten. Je eet wat de pot schaft en schuift aan met het gezin. Dat hebben we echt gewaardeerd – het eten wordt met liefde en zorg bereid en is erg lekker.We zijn heel blij dat we Yao en Aaj hebben leren kennen. Het was voor ons de perfecte afsluiting van onze reis.Bovendien is het ook vanaf hier ideaal om richting het vliegveld te gaan. Beter hadden we het ons niet kunnen wensen.

Geweldige gastrvrijheid en mooie prijs-kwaliteit verhouding

Heerlijk plekje om tot rust te komen na het oververhitte en drukke Accra. Simpelweg niets meer of minder nodig om je rijk en gelukkig te voelen. De gastvrijheid van Yao en familie is bijzonder. En kom je zelden tegen.
