Situated in Tulliemet valley on an old shepherdâs hill track, our huts enjoy breathtakingly long vie
Our huts are luxurious and make for the perfect glamping getaway. Decorated beautifully, they offer block printed linens, hand-stitched quilts, and the comfiest king-size bedchamber. You will be glamping with a hot shower, a fully fitted kitchen, electric underfloor heating, and log burning stoves to keep you extra warm. The two huts are 20m apart sitting in a meadow and surrounded by fields. There are hammocks to read in, an outdoor firepit with wooden armchairs, and sheep wool rugs.
The Shepherds huts were really comfortable and tastefully decorated, with all the amenities you may need. Wood stove inside, fire pit outside in the lovely sitooterie. The location is amazing, views are stunning and on a clear night, the skies are unreal. We would definitely come back again!
A beautiful hut perched on a hillside with stunning views. Just what we needed. The bed was so comfy and it had everything we needed for a weekend. Just sorry we didnt book for 3 nights.
Our stay in the Shepherds Huts far exceeded our expectations. We slept soundly on the coziest bed, enjoyed time connecting quietly by the fire, made small feasts for ourselves with everything available in the kitchen and were blown away by the scenery and accessibility of nature and the estates nearby. Our only regret was not staying longer!
We were so impressed by the location and the view.
The hut is really well designed and tastefully decorated.
The neighbouring hut is nearby but positioned thoughtfully so as not to be intrusive nor particularly visible.
Outdoor furniture was great to relax on (but we couldnât find the hammock which I was looking forward to lying on⊠perhaps it was broken?).
Thanks for a lovely stay - I would book again.
Fab short break - Scottish weather at its best four seasons in one day!!
Staff really attentive when there was a power cut caused by the thunderstorms.
Charming cabin and we quite enjoyed watching the wild weather whilst toasty and warm inside with the wood burner on.
We had two nights in Curlew Cottage.
The hut is comfortable and very cosy - there was a storm on our second night, so it was well tested.
The kitchen is well appointed and the shower is a decent size with plenty of hot water.
We were welcomed warmly by Yvonne and we knew we could get in touch if required.
Hope to be back!
Booked the Curlew Shepherds hut for a couple of nights. What a beautiful location and the accommodation was spotless with everything you need. I would recommend downloading what three words to find location. I will definitely be back.
An absolutely amazing 1 night stay at the shepherds huts. We rented both as a last minute 1 night stay and I cannot fault it in the slightest. Everything was beyond expectations, the location, the views, the huts, the finishing touches, all absolutely amazing. I cannot wait to go back!
We stayed at curlew for my partners birthday which is also New Yearâs Eve. The host contacted us whilst we were en route to let us know she had been in to turn the accommodation around to allow us to check in 2 hours early and to put the heating and the lights on due to heavy snow. The accommodating was spotless with everything you would need for a few days stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and have already recommended to friends and family.
Having found the shepherds hut up a secluded driveway we were stunned by the view, even rain couldnât stop us from admiring the amazing Scottish countryside. The hut was cosy and comfortable with everything we needed for our short stay. Having booked in June we werenât expecting to need the fire or heating but it was very welcome as the weather turned and so we lit the fire. We particularly enjoyed seeing the deer run across the field infront of us one evening and the birds joining us each morning. A lovely stay - thank you for finding a great spot to put the hut!
Booked the Curlew hut as it was close by and dog friendly. As someone who is always on the go and connect via phone and email I was a little skeptical to have no WiFi or TV but we honestly donât miss it. There is great phone signal so you are not completely cut off. The views were beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed for 2 nights. To be honest we didnât want to leave and could easily have done another night or 2. The bed was cosy and comfortable, sitting out by the fire out at night and watching the sunrise was just the break we needed from life. Would certainly recommend and would book again.
We loved our two nights stay in the Curlew Hut! The location is beautiful, it is so peaceful and the view is stunning. The accommodation is great, it has everything you need and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
Great that it is dog friendly with a bowl, dog treats and poo bags available. Our little dog loved sniffing around the area and watching all the wildlife.
We also took advantage of the free entry to the Castle grounds which is a lovely extra we werenât expecting.
Just a note to say, make sure you follow the instructions provided about how to get up to the huts, Google Maps wants to take you another route!
We would definitely stay again
