The Edwardian seaside town of Grange-over-Sands is walkable if you’re inclined to explore on foot, or a mere 10-minute drive. The neighbouring village of Cartmel, with its 12th-century priory and racecourse, is also just under 2 miles away. Almond Cottage is the ideal holiday home for visiting the Lake District National Park. You are not far from any of the main routes around the Lakes, and Lake Windermere is only 9 miles away. Other nearby places include Holker Hall, Sizergh Castle, Grizedale Forest and the Lakeland Motor Museum. Kendal, Bowness and Windermere are 30 minutes away.
