Lovely property in a quiet residential area, had everything we needed for our few days away, wouldnât hesitate to book again if returning to the area đ
Exceptional bungalow everything you would need. The host Hazel very good so helpful. In good area for touring around, lovely garden for enjoying the sun. Thank you Hazel enjoyed the wine and tablet hope to return soon.
Great, modern property in a quiet location on the outskirts of the village, providing everything you need for a short break. Hassle-free check-in and departure and easy communication with the owner.
Perfect location to explore the coastal villages of the East Neuk of Fife. Less that 10 mins walk from the East Fife Coastal path and 30 mins drive to St Andrews.
Thanks to Hazel and Jim for the welcome letter also bottle of wine and box of fudge.
Lovely bungalow comfortable and well stocked it was like home from home. Would definitely recommend, also good location for touring Fife. My brother paid us a visit whilst there he said he would recommend it to his family and friends also.
Beautiful, modern bungalow with a big garden to the rear - perfect for relaxing and great location for exploring the local area.
Hazel is the perfect host and was very prompt messaging details for accessing the key. We especially loved the little welcome card, bottle of wine and box of fudge.
There's a large co-op supermarket in Anstruther and also a small Premier shop in St Monan's nearby for essentials.
Lots of places to see in the local area, Anstruther, St Andrews, Dundee etc. We ventured further afield and made a trip up to Glamis Castle, home of the late Queen Mother - just over an hour away but a good day out over the Tay Bridge. The golf museum at St Andrews was interesting as was the Kingsbarn Whisky & Gin distillery.
Probably worth booking ahead for meals out in high season as it was busy everywhere. We couldn't get a table at the award winning Anstruther Fish bar so might have to come back!
Don't forget to check out the beautiful quaint fishing villages of St Monan's & Pittenweem - tiny but well worth popping into.
We would definitely recommend this property and will revisit if we are in this area again.
Lovely airy cottage with everything needed for a comfortable break away.
I brought my elderly parents and my teenage daughter for a few days.
During the day we travelled to St Andrews, Cupar, Elie, Anstruther and Leven so my parents could get some time admiring the East Neuk and at night my daughter and I tried out some of the tidal pools and beaches for a bit of wild swimming. So really there was a bit of something for everyone.
We all had a lovely time.
The Beautiful Windmill Cottage definitely lives up to its name.
It is spotlessly clean and has everything you need.
The location is ideal for East Neuk of Fife.
We will be visiting again.
A lovely welcome gift greets you from Hazel in the bright modern kitchen with patio doors leading to a lovely terrace to sit & have drinks overlooking the garden.
I couldnât of chosen a better home to stay to explore the coastal paths of Fife & restaurants.
I recommend a visit to Cambo walled gardens & cafe which is fascinating & you can walk down to the beach which is glorious.
I will definitely be booking to stay again at Windmill Cottage.
