Trails from experienced hiker along seaside trails, to moderate less climbing, to walker/stroller boardwalk and flat trail across bog to the ocean views. You may spot a nesting osprey, whales, many different species of seabirds and a plethora of wild flowers.
Disappointed with grounds as driveway overgrown hard to be sure not hitting larger rocks under overgrown grass
Also not really able to sit outside because area over grown and small deck area was cluttered and uneven
This historic home - still a bit of a work in progress - offers a character stay within walking distance of hiking trails with a short 10-15 minute drive into Twillingate itself. Iceberg viewing a short stroll across the road (in season, of course)! The location rocks ;)
Being the first guests to stay, there were a few suggestions that would enhance guest stays that we offered the host, which he embraced.
This home was built by Captain Nathaniel Jenkins over 100 years ago. It has been a pleasure to preserve its character and make comfortable renovations for guests.
Beautiful views of the cove from the front of the property and open Atlantic views from the back of the property. Trails are within a 5-10 minute walk.
